It‘s still my favourite spot in the house, my sanctuary from all my problems. Even though Neville looks like he‘s trying to strangle me! I think I need a bigger pot for him.🪴Dads been moved to a respiratory unit at a bigger hospital & is slowly getting better. Thank you to everyone who sent their thoughts.

It‘s back to on-site work at the library! Gonna feel like a lot of Mondays in a row for awhile 😆. I feel like a welder, but I need the shield instead of the mask because of asthma. Yes, I am in dire need of a haircut too, lol. Only librarians this week, and then we start curbside pick-up next week. What‘s your library‘s current status? #LitsyLovesLibraries

rabbitprincess Starting returns at 6 big branches next week, and allowing appointments for holds pickup starting the week after that, at those same branches. My local is not one of the branches opening. I could ask to have my holds moved to the closest branch being opened, but I will wait until my actual branch opens, I think. 5y

Librarybelle We officially open for curbside on the 15th, with book drops opening on the 8th. Half the staff went back today, the other half (including me) go back next week, and we‘re rotating every other week to keep everyone safe. 5y

LibrarianRyan Reopened today. No patrons came i. Which was good in a way as we were still trying to figure out safety protocols. Then they sent us home early because of planned protests that could have left us trapped in the building all night because of the layout downtown. 5y

Bookzombie Ours are opening up for contact-free pickup and book drops on June 16. Some branches will be opening up computer access by appointment beginning that day too. 5y

Branwen That is SO RUDE! 😡 But, yeah, you're right, it happens all the time! Any time my library is closing for a holiday we put up a billion signs saying that we'll be closed on such-and-such date. Inevitably, the day after, we ALWAYS have regulars come in and say they had no idea we would be closed! 🙊 READ THE SIGNS, PEOPLE! 🤣😂 5y

I love my local library because it hosts so many unique events, has a huge selection of items, comfy nooks and crannies for relaxing, an amazing view of the water (especially from the second floor), unique items to borrow such as cake pans and even ukuleles, and a selection of puzzles you can check out! #10kgiveaway

Samplergal I used to be a friend of Enoch Pratt library. They were so budget poor. I now donate all my books that I‘ve read back to the library in Florida. 6y

Interesting display at the #librarysg across where I work... As much as I try to support the local independent bookstores (over TBD ;) our local libraries ensure I can read almost all that I want. There is a branch near almost every train station at my side of the island. I don't need a full wallet to fill my arms and bag with books.

So library > bookstore for me
