4) Finding Joy in Resistance. It hurt my heart a little to cancel Disney+ but it brings joy to put my belief‘s into action.

1) Working on my #SummerSwapCards. Decided to make cards so they may be a bit late.
2) Amanda brought Pippin new toys, the manta ray is his favorite. We have a blast playing.
3) Cards are arriving. So appreciate the joy they bring.

1) Oregon Beavers won the first game of their super regional today.
2 & 3) Tried my hand at strawberry freezer jam and we got a great smallish freezer to put them in.
4) My dad is having some health issues but endoscopy and colonoscopy came back fine. No firm answer yet but having colon cancer ruled out brings much joy.
5) Pippin‘s joyful greeting when I got home from my dad‘s.

1) Even tho Pippin ended up with a tummy ache we had a good visit with my dad. My brothers and I call his house the dogs vacation home because they all love him and the beach. Can‘t wait for a better weather day to give Pip his first beach experience.

1) My little patch of crocuses alert me to Spring on its way. And warm enough to have the windows open yesterday.

3) Pippin did great at daycare. This is his mom I don‘t want to go out pose. He‘s dead weight til he gets his belly rub.

Pub 1963, slice of life in a young married couple‘s life set in a Mid West College town between 1927-1929. The husband is a law student and the wife is a budding author. It seems a bit autobiographical to me. Such a sweet small town story.

It is grey and cold here. Love Fridays to remind me of all the good things.

1) A warm house and a lap full of puppy.
2) Sunday dinner at Mongolian grill with both my kids.
3) A stop at B & N where some books found a new home.
4) Hubby descaled my Kuerig. Since he doesn‘t drink coffee it‘s a labor of love and maybe self preservation. 😂
5) In a bit of a slump but staying on task with daily reading with groups and journaling.

2) We‘ve had a few afternoons of blue sky and sunshine this week, almost Spring like. And a beautiful sunset.

5) Grocery order is in for pick up so I can have a coffee & stitching date this afternoon with another friend.

1) All the lovely #LitsyLove and #Naturalitsy cards, notes, and goodies. I was filled with joy with each envelope opened.
2) We had 5 dogs in and out over the holiday and Pippin loved the big dog toys so much. My niece gifted him the big boy monkey man toy.
3 & 4) Most of my family was together for the first time in over 10 years and it had its moments, both hard and easy. The joy my dad got from having his 3 kids together was ⬇️

This was my most anticipated read for #WinterGames2024. I listened to the entire audiobook yesterday when I was working and cleaning and preparing for a million things only a small portion of which I actually care about. This book is filled with so much optimism though it was impossible to be in a bad mood. This is a hug in book form. #MidWeekMuddle @TheAromaofBooks

1) Wicked with a friend in our locally owned small theater.
2) Historic holiday home tour with a fiend and no rain while we walked
3) Wintergames is giving me something to do when I‘m exhausted but must stay awake
4) Xmas shopping is done and half of it is wrapped
5) Pippin! He wears me out but he is what my heart needed

1) Pippin had a rough week with 3 splint changes but the shelter medical team is amazing. Friday‘s splint drove him crazy so was resplinted Tuesday which fell off that evening. Yesterday‘s is 👍🏼
2) Oregon Symphony Vivaldi‘s Four Seasons last night.
3) Spotify Wrapped. Not sure what genre Mall goth Skateboarding Punk is but I‘m here for it.

I love to re-read in December. I have so many holiday or holiday feeling books I love to visit each time this year. I usually re-read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn in December but decided it was time for a visit with Joy In The Morning instead. 4) Finally got my blue and white quilt back from quilter. Going to its new home Sunday.
5) My daughter who talked me down off a cliff this morning. Stress + insomnia = tears, she provided the balm.

1) A fun late birthday lunch with a good friend.
2) A long phone call with another on speaker while she crafted at her home and I declutterred my sewing room.

Today I learned that the tagged book was made into a movie released in 1965! It‘s been a favorite book since my first reading as a teen. I hope I can find it streaming somewhere.

Update: Movie is currently unavailable and will likely remain so. The review says “amateurishly acted, badly written and hideously directed”. I would hate to see it ruin such a lovely book. So never mind 😁
