Slightly better than the first but still not great.
Slightly better than the first but still not great.
Continuing the series even though I wasn‘t a fan of the first. But it‘s free on audible
I have been meaning to read the Sookie Stackhouse novels for years and enjoyed the first several seasons of True Blood (especially Alexander Skarsgard 😂). Maybe next Scarathlon I will finally take the plunge! #scarathlonphotochallenge #coffin #blackcatcrew
Next book in the series I started. Prompt “dead” #OminousOctober @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks #Scarathon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
Finished the 2nd book today in my Sookie Stackhouse reread. I like the set up in this book way more than what the tv show did with this storyline. With the exception of Lafayette, because I like him in the tv show. I didn‘t remember much about the book, but I‘m enjoying my reread and these are good on audio.
Started the Sookie Stackhouse books last week! I‘ve been having a fun time reading the first two. I like how true to the book the first few episodes of True Blood were. I‘m hoping the books get better because I hated the ending of True Blood. #paperback #library #bookstotv #trueblood #sookiestackhouse #charlaineharris
This series is a little weird. This book contains some interesting mythology but its description is very shallow. It can be an interesting read.
Yes!! My friend @RidiculousAmanda is now on Litsy!!! She co hosts the really cool Podcast Fictional Hangover. https://www.fictionalhangover.com/
And #VampireBookClub on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/fictionalhangover/?ref=share
Will probably talk about Vampires. 🧛🏻♂️
#litsywelcomewagon
Currently reading about vampires. No one is shocked.
Classic vampire trash 🧛 Can‘t help but love it.
I‘m off work this week, so time for a binge read 🥳
A trashy re-read during the last few days of the holidays. This book is a bit chaotic, with a couple of different plot lines, but enjoyable nonetheless!

Ready for #BookSpinBingo. It's mostly last month's list with gaps filled and extras added.

My #bookspin list for June: more massmarket paperbacks from my unread shelves.

I‘ve got a few books on the go atm but with all the COVID upheaval & uncertainty, I‘ve been struggling to concentrate. So I decided to re-read this, the 2nd book in the Southern Vampire Mysteries. I find these such easy reads & enjoy the way Harris describes mundane tasks in Sookie‘s life, like choosing her outfits or doing housework, it‘s oddly comforting.
Hopefully I can finish the other books this week, I hate leaving books half read!
Day 3-I‘ve read this series and watched the show. It‘s a fun series, with some inconsistencies that bug me if I read them back to back. Bill and Sookie travel to Dallas, and the reader finds out vampires use a coffin travel service. #scarathlon #chillingphotochallenge #teamslaughter @Clwojick
Another one down these are very easy reads and I am loving the story so far.
Who doesn't love vampires.

I liked this the second time around. I‘m actually looking forward to reading the third book. (Super quick review because I‘m at work and not supposed to be on my phone.... 🙊)
Just sitting here in my puppy-fur covered leggings, enjoying this Sookie Stackhouse novel. I read this one years ago and never continued on with the series. At first, I felt the story was a little slow, but it‘s starting to pick up now. And I don‘t remember as much from this one as I did rereading the first. So it‘s almost new to me again.
I was kind of disappoint d that Lafayette was killed off in this book. I liked that character. But the book was really good and it was good to meet new characters and enemies as well as creatures. Read back in 2011
4/5 ⭐️
I love Sookie. No matter what happens she doesn‘t take any crap from anybody! Human or nonhuman!
These books have been so entertaining so far and I can‘t wait to continue the series.
I‘m hoping to see more of Eric and Sookie! Bill is great and all but a little meh. Curious to see how my feelings change in the next few books!
Here we go!! First project planned is a hat for Baby B!
Listening to this book on audio while I attempt this crocheting thing haha wish me luck!
Thanks again to @bullbunny @CatLass007 @introvertedbooks @Kaye @ravenlee @julesG @BookNerd9906 @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego for all of your kind advice!!
Why have I decided to read 4 books while also trying to get ready for Christmas and attempt crocheting for the first time? I really don‘t know BUT I‘m having so much fun juggling it all!! 🤹🏻♀️
Any fellow crocheters out there? Any good tips for a newbie like me? 😺
A gloomy #audiowalk this morning on the bay! ⛅️
I needed a new audiobook to listen to after finishing And Then There Were None so I checked what was available at the library and found book 2 of the Sookie Stackhouse novels was just waiting for me to check it out! I love this narrator and these books are so good so far! This one has started off with a bang! Can‘t wait to see where it goes!
Started reading the second installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series.
I also started to rewatch True Blood to compare haha
This is probably one of my biggest guilty pleasures and thought this time of year is perfect for a Charlaine Harris read.
What are your favorite Halloween books?

Not as awesome as the 1st, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I am obsessed with Mustard Yellow.....I just got this yummy wool from Michael‘s to create a seed stitch cowl to match a new purse I ordered from Modcloth. #vampires #knitting #falliscoming #autumndreams
Enjoying my series reread. I didn‘t remember how little we get of Lafayette from my first time through, so that made me sad. I was irritated with how that story got sidelined for the vamp business, but it got tied up well.
I never really understood Bill‘s allure, as I find him high-handed and petty. But Eric sure is fun.
#HeyJune #day4 #IWantToHoldYourHand Oh Eric Northman. I want to hold your hand and any other part of your body.☺️ I loved Book Eric but Alexander Skarsgard portrayal of him on True Blood was just fantastic. He gave him that sarcastic, funny edge without ever losing sight of the monster underneath, he also captured Eric‘s occasional sentimentality & wistfulness. He can bite me anytime😉🧛🏻♂️❤️🖤❤️
What's a girl to do when she's got stacks and stacks of lovely new books to read and the hold for The President Is Missing comes through (cause she stalked the library's Overdrive and was first in line months ago)? Reread Living Dead in Dallas for the 5th time, of course.
Perfect beach read!
Thanks for such a warm welcome #LitsyWelcomeWagon and @AshleyHoss820 for introducing me to this community!! Still learning the ropes, but I love it so far!!
1) United States - Colorado
2) True Crime/Murder Mystery/Thriller (I can‘t pick just one 😬)
3) (Re-reading) Living Dead In Dallas by: Charlaine Harris (A fave series of mine)
4) Dessert or Burgers
5) 1 dog - Gunner 🐶
6) None....yet
I absolutely love Charlaine Harris and the Southern Vampire Series. Ms. Harris is funny but intense. She is creative but real. The book was easy to read, it was short but exciting at the same time. The characters are absolutely lovable. I find myself rooting for Sookie and Bill. The only problem I have with the book was the orgy thing. It was gross. ;p
I will definitely pick up the next book in the series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This series is so much fun! Onto Club Dead!
Due in 5 hours and I'm only halfway through... Time to turn on airplane mode on my Kindle 😬 Safe to say I am completely sucked into this series now 🤷♀️😜
#Rocktober #day27 #IfIWasYourGirlfriend Oh Eric Northman. If I was your girlfriend, you'd be needing a lot of blood to keep up your..ahem...energy. This is one time that being bitten does not require the aeroguard to be whipped out. There'll be another type of whipping involved. Wooh, Lordy me somebody bring me some sweet tea. I need to cool down🔥
So excited! I got a signed book by Charlaine Harris at a silent auction. 😊🙌😁 #trueblood #sookie
#UncannyOctober #day17 #ACityInTheTitle This is the 2nd book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, the book where she meets Eric for the first time. I really enjoyed this series for the first 2/3 of the series, the last few were a bit tired though still enjoyable. The Sookie/Bill/Eric triangle is one of the few triangles in fiction that I liked reading about.
And of course as I'm reading the series this new pops up :/ rest easy, sir.
Only about 25 pages of book two left! ☺️I HAVE to read in bed before I go to sleep...even if I only get a few pages in and fall asleep with the book on my face. Which happens. (A lot. 😂) I've been doing this as long as I can remember. Does anyone else need to read before they can sleep? 😴📖
Apparently, I'm pretty vocal about how hot I think Alexander Skarsgärd is. ? #trueblood #booksontv #literaryboyfriends
