@Cuilin
Hello, Sherlockians. Thanks to those who took the reading schedule survey. Results? The majority still want a story a week (two weeks for two parts of the remaining novels) and the majority want to still skip major holidays. With that, here's the schedule for the rest of the canon. I hope it's correct! 😂 Let me know if you see any errors.

As much as I would love picking Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle's brain re: all things Sherlock, I'd also be interested to hear about the so-called fairies that he believed in and why. 😃

1. Sherlock Holmes, of course. #surprisesurprise #iamsherlocked
2. Hercule Poirot. #lovethatmustache

Narrated by Simon Vance. I try to be very discerning about what I pay Audible/Amazon for, and nearly 60 hours was the bang I needed for my fifteen bucks when I downloaded this one. Want something I can listen to without paying too close attention (hence a repeat title), and a production that doesn‘t have too much excitement, for bedtime.
Egad! I just found Sherlock Hemlock in with the Fisher Price Little People 😂

I am tempted to spend my money on this gorgeous and complete book of Sherlock Holmes.
I have never read a Sherlock Holmes book but I have always always wanted to. I know I would just love them.
I can get a very good used copy for $20. I'm sorry that's a steal. And I have 2 vacations coming up.... yep, I think I need this. Although... this might be a bit obnoxious to take on a plane..
Been so bad at reading this month it‘s seems that whenever I have more time to read is when I read the least 😅
Binged Sherlock and now reading the source material!
1. Tagged, Volumes 1 & 2
2. Socks, I have ugly feet 🦶🦶
3. The top of the Empire State Building
4. Seafood (except fish)
5. Doubtful, I'm probably work that night

Colors are much richer in person, not sure why my camera didn‘t pick up on them. Probably the light.

I shall tag @ravenlee (sorry if you‘ve already been tagged or if you have no desire to do this!)
The ultimate hat 😉.

One of my dad‘s friends sent him 5 boxes of books. He put his selections in one then sent the rest off to Goodwill, but not before snagging these self-described “two handsome volumes” for me.
They will make great replacements for my worn out paperbacks.
“I had neither kith nor kin in England, and was therefore as free as air -- or as free as an income of eleven shillings and sixpence a day will permit a man to be. Under such circumstances, I naturally gravitated to London, that great cesspool into which all the loungers and idlers of the #Empire are irresistibly drained.”

“How #sweet the morning air is! See how that one little cloud floats like a pink feather from some gigantic flamingo. Now the red rim of the sun pushes itself over the London cloud-bank. It shines on a good many folk, but on none, I dare bet, who are on a stranger errand than you and I. How small we feel with our petty ambitions and strivings in the presence of the great elemental forces of Nature!”

“‘I must apologize for calling so late,‘ said he, ‘and I must further beg you to be so unconventional as to allow me to leave your house presently by scrambling over your back #garden wall.‘”

“My mind is like a racing engine, tearing itself to pieces because it is not connected up with the work for which it was built. Life is commonplace; the papers are sterile; #audacity and romance seem to have passed forever from the criminal world. Can you ask me, then, whether I am ready to look into any new problem, however trivial it may prove?”
#QuotsyMay19
Let us hear the suspicions. I will look after the proofs.
Just got my library app never listened to an audiobook before so I actually have no ideas where to start 🤔
One of my goals for this year was to stop being put off by bigger books so why not start by tackling the biggest book on my shelves plus it‘s made up of multiple stories so I can read it in between other books!!
Taking a break from Marie Kondo-ing my clothes to enjoy the view. I'm happy to spend all day inside reading and listening to audiobooks. Sherlock narrated by Stephen Fry is especially wonderful on a day like today 💙📖🌨
I just found this book at my grandmother's house, I haven't read the book, but I've heard it's wonderful!
Winter Hayes as Sherlock Holmes for her 8 month photos. 🕵️♀️❤️ #SherlockHolmes never looked so cute
Feeling like some Holmes! So tonight, fudge and this collection on audio. Tomorrow, I'll catch up on chores and Richard II. 😊🍫🥛
It‘s Sherlock Holmes day!
🐝
I love everything Sherlock! I‘ve read the complete works, which is a big chunk of a book (not pictured). I‘ve read lots of Sherlock adaptations and love them all. I watch the movies, the multiple tv series, all of it. ❤️

Having so much fun following along. #readathon Also trying to use this as an excuse to finish up the many books I was in the middle of reading. First and foremost, the tagged door stopper. Still not finished, but one story collection and one novel closer to wrapping up the tales of Sherlock.
Still slowly working my way through this audiobook. Interestingly, I just finished the collection “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” and here are my thoughts so far: way more crime rests on tobacco knowledge here than seems truly likely 😉; Mycroft was only in one story so far?!; and Moriarty was only introduced in The Final Problem. Clearly, things only really get going after Sherlock seems to have perished. #audiobook
My TBR has gotten a little out of hand and I‘m feeling the need to prioritize (due dates, release dates, etc).
Here‘s my TBR for the rest of the month (with a couple of slots for some spontaneous picking).
And, yes, I‘m STILL plugging away at Sherlock. There are a LOT of stories 😉
Started this one today on audiobook!!! I cannot believe I haven‘t read these stories. Ready to rectify that omission. The entire collection is 62+ hours of awesomeness!!!! ⏳📚
“‘How long is this to last?‘ asked the inspector finally. ‘And what is it we are watching for?‘
‘I have no more notion than you how long it is to last,‘ Holmes answered with some asperity. ‘If criminals would #always schedule their movements like railway trains, it would certainly be more convenient for all of us.‘”
#QuotsyFeb18
Mine is “The Murder of the Maniacal Writer”, Dr. Watson‘s (my son) is “The Trial of the Loquacious Visitor”, and Cody‘s (my husband) is “The Trial of the Psychic Cupcake” 😂. What‘s yours?
#sherlockholmes
Graphic is from #epicreads.
"The papers which this wretched youth had in his pocket were the #plans of the Bruce-Partington submarine." I love Mark Gatiss as Mycroft Holmes. I can't help hearing his voice when I read this story! #QuotsyNov17
1. I've wanted The Complete Sherlock Holmes for a long time. Particularly a nice annotated version I saw in B&N years ago.
2. Both but I can't eat them anymore.
3. All Souls Trilogy
4. Meteorologist ⛈
5. Four
@MinDea #humpdaypost
I read someone else's description of #thefly, and Sherlock Holmes seems to fit! Brilliant and arrogant, his brain slowly turning against him...sounds like what I've heard about _The Fly_.
#monstermadness2017 #day10
#SomeoneElsesBooks These are my husbands books. All the books he owns. He gets part of one shelf on my bookshelves. #RiotGrams
#anditsaugust #addiction While there's the logical conclusion of Holmes and cocaine and tobacco, I feel like this doubles as I'm sure that being willing to spend over 60 hours listening to the same guy counts. 😉 @RealLifeReading
Holmes and Watson!

day 3: besties
This audio book should last me months. It is 7 parts all at least 6 hours long.
I was in love with Sherlock within the first 10 pages, and 1000+ later I'm so sad that there isn't any more. Holmes is charmingly insulting, Watson is adorably devoted, the mysteries are fabulously crafted. This isn't just plain wonderful, folks; it's wonderful with raisins.
Though it's been slow going so far, reading all of Sherlock Holmes is proving to be a #TBRHighlight. #AprilAmazingReads
This book is proving to be pretty #impossible to get through. I love Sherlock Holmes, but I keep getting pulled away from this collection in order to read other books. #LyricalApril
Alright, pay close attention. If you like long, dramatic stories that last forever (in a good way), than this book is for you. At a beautiful 1,077 pages, this is the longest book I've ever read! I wanted to read it after starting BBC's Sherlock (an amazing show, watch it!), and although very long, totally worth it. Plus, look at the cover and gold pages! Available at Barnes & Noble.
I started this audiobook in October and finally finished on my backpacking trip of the Outer Mountain Loop at Big Bend NP. I liked the book but listening to story after story got tedious after a while--it was 50 hours long!
I've made myself pick the 8 books I'd want to be stranded on a desert island with. Read about my picks on copyandtea.co.uk #books #bookworm #booknerd #bookblogger
