Late on Resolution planning day! Naturally I‘ve bitten off more than I can chew but a lot of these overlap and I‘m not going to feel pressured to finish any of them but I‘ll reward myself for each one I do finish (not sure what that will look like though). Goodreads goal remains 100 books. #WinterReadathon

If you don‘t follow Celeste Barber on Instagram, you need to. This book will make you laugh out loud and cause people to stare at you. I love her comments about women and how she talks about body shaming.

I find Celeste Barber‘s Insta spoofs of celebrity posts absolutely hilarious and I get the sense that she is a pretty cool human too. I put off reading this memoir for fear I‘d be disappointed. Turns out I needn‘t have. I really enjoyed this #palatecleanser and think I might love her even more now. 😍❤️👏🙏

It‘s my day off from the bookstore.... so what do I do? .......I start going through my shelves, sorting, tidying, and picking out #tbr books for challenges, buddy reads and bookclubs coming up (And re-purposing an old carved wood expandable CD rack as a mini bookcase for nightstand!)
My hubby was confused as to why I would spend my days off, organizing books, doing the same thing I do at work! Does he not know me at all!??? 😂💕📚

Funny and lighthearted - a quick and easy read and now I follow her on Instagram for more daily doses of her great down to earth recreations of ridiculous celebrity poses.

If I didn't already love Celeste's sense of humour from her Instagram page I definitely would have fallen in love with it when reading this book. This book is a humour filled romp through Celeste's life and experiences with some empowering and poignant experiences also in the mix. A great read for anyone wanting a laugh or just a great read and some further insight into the life of one of the greatest instagrammers of our times. #celestebarber

Well, bad news is that my unread books increased by one, but good news is that they were all from a book swap... so at least they didn‘t cost me any money 😅

I‘ll try to do better for February. I have some chick lit audiobooks downloaded already, but after that I‘ll focus more on the #UnreadShelfProject 💕🙌🏻

Wow. Hasn‘t this month flown by! Halfway through January already with only 4 days left of #JumpStart2020 Hows your challenge going? Have you met your goals,exceeded them or failed miserably like me! I put a goal of 10 books but so far I‘ve read 4 & started 3 more but am finding it difficult to settle. A #bookslump is looming😱 I‘ve just started One Of Us Is Next by Karen McManus,hopefully this one sticks. Let me know your progress in the comments.

I‘ve got the next two days off, and then I work 7 days straight. I‘m setting some goals to get ahead in my challenges, since I know the next week will be hard for me to do much reading. Today I plan on reading at least 5 children‘s books, at least 5 graphic novels, finish off Where The Crawdads Sing, and possibly also finish off The Bride Test. Once all that‘s done, I‘ll reevaluate.

I seem to have a serious addiction to reading challenges this year, so my bullet journal is quickly filling up. Here are the 5 spreads I made up for the various #LitsyAtoZ challenges I‘ll be attempting in 2020. Audiobooks, Graphic Novels, Children‘s Books, Mystery & Suspense, and Romance. As you can see, #JumpStart2020 has helped me check off a decent chunk already. Here‘s to another great year of reading! 🙌🏻

Not bad! All but one blank filled in for the 2019 #mmdchallenge! (Sorry for the blurry pic) Didn't do so well on the #pop19 challenge 😔, but willing to go again in 2020!

Truth be told, I don't read to meet these challenges. I read what I want & see what fits. ☺ They're still fun.

I'm really happy with where my year is going to end, but one of my students challenged me to reach 120. That's a tough order, guys!

I‘m starting to think about my new year reading goals (despite the fact I haven‘t quite completed this year‘s goals, lol) and I‘m going to try to do more challenges that are about diversifying my reading instead of just about how many books I‘m reading. Exhibit A: The Reading Women Challenge. I‘m all about this!

Celeste Barber is hysterical and raunchy and weird. I almost gave this a so-so because I found some of the chapters less interesting (like meeting her husband) but funny nonetheless. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
