I've never read sci-fi, I've always been a bit intimidated that I wouldn't understand anything I'm reading 🤣 but this was actually good and easy to follow. I was disappointed with this one since I had read so many good reviews. I found it boring, predictable and I figured out the mystery early on. Even the fall setting fell flat BUT there were plenty of fall baking which gave me the munchies lol

This is a fictionalized story woven around a real serial killer of the early 1900's New Orleans plus an added bonus of the history of the city makes for a recommended read.

This book reads like a made for TV movie and thankfully it only had 200 pages because had it been longer I would've had to bail. 🌫️
