so-soThis was funny at times although not as charming as the first one. It was nice to revisit some of my fave side characters from Austenland. I didn‘t enjoy the mystery quite as much, but the ending was pleasant and she wrapped it up nicely. #PemberLittens

I went to the Utah Library Association Conference today, and Shannon Hale was the lunch speaker. I love her. I wish I had had time to stay in her line, but at least I got to hear her talk and show pictures that she posed for with Ricky Whittle on the set of Austenland. He‘s purty, and the pictures were hilarious. Plus, she talked about graphic novels, which are totally my jam. #ula2019

pickGood. Even though this is the second book in the series it doesn't follow on as it is a stand alone story. I enjoyed the murder mystery within the story as it made me want to read on to find out how it ended. Recommend to Jane Austen fans.

pickDefinitely has an odd vibe compared to Austenland but still fun to visit again even if a bit weird and unrealistic. Humor and mystery made it a fun read for me overall!
so-soNot nearly as good as the first. It felt a bit drawn out and more like Insta love. Still fairly enjoyable. The best part was Ms. Elizabeth Charming getting her version of an HeA.

pickI loved this book...even more than the first one! ❤️ It isn‘t a sequel (new H/h), but it takes place in the same locale with some of the same secondary characters included. It revolves around a divorced woman looking for a light-hearted adventure to get her mojo back. While similar to the first, this one is a little Gothic (think Northanger Abbey) and also involves a mystery to solve. Funny, sweet, with twists and turns. Happy I found it! 😊 5⭐️
Just realized that I had purchased this ebook way back in 2012 (probably on sale at the time) and had forgotten about it. Since this is second in the series (and I just finished the first), it‘s the perfect time to read it! 😊 This takes place in the same locale, just a new hero/heroine.

pickIt‘s fluff and it‘s silly, and I laughed a lot and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I love that the main character is a middle-aged divorced mom, I love the murder twist, and it was just fun and clever and exactly what I needed.
#Readathon wrap up: I read the books on the right completely, and the ones on the left are still in progress. 7 hours, 30 minutes (including 1hr 45min audio) - usually I hit 10-12 hrs. Oh well, there‘s no such thing as failing the Readathon! Page count was 852, thanks to a couple of graphic novels. Special thanks to my trusty RAT buddy @LauraBrook . We‘ve never met, but have been doing Dewey‘s Readathon together since April, 2011! 😘📚

This was the perfect fall read! Murder mystery meets Northanger Abbey meets Mansfield Park! Definitely some unexpected twists mixed with some very predictable ones 😉 And Shannon Hale's writing is witty and sweet.

Had a superb girls night when I got a friend to see Austenland in the theater with me! Midnight in Austenland will make more sense if you have read Northanger Abbey.
