What a day! Think it's pretty much going to be balls-out straight until Xmas.
Finally getting a chance to get back to my book for a bit tonight....if I can keep my eyes open long enough. Trying to decide if this can be used as a #HolidayRead or not. Who's read it? What do you think?
My current holiday read. So far I find it intriguing. I can't wait to see how the story progresses. I haven't been this interested in a book in awhile. The only other books I've read by Hill is The Fireman and the Locke and Key series, and I loved both. I do see a bit of his father's influence in this. Something about it does have a Stephen King feel to it, but better. I've never really been a King fan. Hopefully this will be a great journey. ❄️🎄
The Power of Love - Frankie Goes to Hollywood 😁 pretend Christmas song....
Me and the kids taken at Dear Evan Hansen at the weekend
Yes and no, it‘s complicated.
1. I don't think so. But l'll ask for two movies about writers: The Man Who Inventeranno Christmas and Tolkien 😍
2. I adore gifting books... but l see that often they are not appreciated 😟
Audio loan didn't come back until yesterday, which was perfect because I was able to finish this & have it count towards the #WinterGames! Glad I finally read it. Obscene, creepy, & will make you think of Christmas in a different light lol. Filled with kids & adults doing horrific things & showcases a frightening innocence that does not discern evil from fun. Kate Mulgrew's narration really brought this to life. #HolidayRead #TMSkellington 4⭐️s
Let‘s start this #wintergames fun! #teamfozziwig share this photo and answer the questions for 26 points! Be sure to wait until December 1 or it won‘t count! I‘ll be checking back tomorrow morning and adding some more challenges! Stay tuned!! @Clwojick @StayCurious
This is where I ended for #24B4Monday. I tried to get a couple more hours in last night, but fell asleep after traveling home from in-laws lol. For my #BookReport, I almost finished the tagged. Now I just have to wait a few days for another audio loan. I started Midnight in the Garden for #MidnightParty #buddyread, and The Lost Hours for #LiteraryCrew. My #WeeklyForecast is finishing Midnight and NOS4A2, along with my #LMPBC picks!
I was hoping to have twice this time right now, but this is where I left off last night. Trying to finish my first Joe Hill before it auto returns tomorrow! It's creepy and obscene at times but I'm hooked. Timing didn't work for me, but this could be a good one for the #WinterGames considering the references to Christmasland. #24b4Monday #readathon
Thank you so much @Stacypatrice for my wonderful birthday gifts and for all your letters and kindness. XX

I had so much fun doing the #HalloweenMovieBingo that I decided to host a Christmas version. Please feel free to share and play along! And if you use a free space, be sure to let us know what you‘re watching! 😁🎄🎥
Creepy, mysterious, and at times disturbing. Everything & more I could even begin to expect from Stephen King's son.
Halloween (aka my favorite time of year) is almost here. Of course this means out come the Halloween socks and spooky books. I thought this would be the perfect time to finally pick this up although maybe I should've waited until Christmas 😜.
Will I finish before Halloween...we shall see?!
OMG this book was so intense and also really good. I enjoyed it so much more than the other Joe Hill book I read (Horns). The characters were great, though the story felt a little long at times.
1st - Mark me down for 11 more points #TeamStoker #Scarathlon
2nd - This is my entry for “about a vampire” & “number in title” #ScaryScavengerHunt
3rd - Freezer Book for #BBRC #GrowUp cause this book is a terror!
Day 8 of the #Fallisbooked challenge by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks and @OriginalCyn620
Looking for a book set during Autumn, I found this chapter from the copy of “Nos4A2” that the wonderful @Branwen gave me for Christmas! 😊 And even cooler, this chapter takes place in the town I currently live in!
Wait... a book about a vampire takes place in Haverhill and I live in Haverhill... should I be worried? 😳🧛♂️
Wow this book left me with chills and not looking forward to Christmas. I loved the whole idea, I'm usually not one for spooky books but this was great! Definitely something to pick up for your October spooky reads
This will be me tomorrow. I'm almost done with Nos4a2 and it's hitting the climax so I have to stay up and see what happens. My poor husband has a sleeping mask on because I have the light on 🤣

I had to hurry & read this bc I had an entire season of the show taking up space on my TiVo. I‘m thankful the show was a catalyst to get me reading faster since the book was very scary & well-paced. The characters each had a good amount of background story & I also loved the supernatural elements.
At one point while reading this I was convinced there was a murderer in the house which is my bar for scary stories.
P.S. Book beats show.
So... this wasn't an AWFUL story and I liked Vic and Lou a lot. I saw flashes of what a wonderful storyteller Hill can be and I saw a lot of him falling back on Dear Ole Dad's MO of vulgarity for the sake of it. I know there were a lot of nods to King's works but walk out of the shadows, dude. I did think it could have benefited from a bit more editing. There was a tad too much repetition for me. I'll give him another go but no rereads from me.
The trolls decided to be surly when I got out of bed this morning, so I made coffee, got a travel mug and left them watching Detective Pikachu while I read in bed... it's a win for everyone, trust me!! Trying to finish this long and drawn out book so I can move on to other things.
