My daughter's first ever musical and we both loved this prequel/ retelling of #WizardOfOz so much! And I've always wanted to read this book as well! Found this gorgeous copy of the B&N leather bounded edition at a charity shop and I just couldn't believe my luck!😍💚 (it includes both books Wicked & it‘s sequel)

I'm all packed up, but haven't moved just yet, as we're still having troubles with finding the next house for rent. 😧 While our landlords do plan to put the house up for sale, they've known us well (over 15 years) and can work around more time. Hopefully we'll have something figured out soon, by March.

I tend to read all the acknowledgments at the ends of books, so it's a bit ironic that I'd probably be fine with skipping the dedications most of the time. I only really read them because they're typically so short, and sometimes you get a fun turn of phrase like this.

Well, I had really good intentions for the #sixby6 challenge, until I realized what bad timing I have. My awesome mom is visiting and we're going to see Wicked (the play is sooo much better than the book) today! We have lots of fun things planned for the next few days, my daughter is so keyed up she can't sleep...yeah, not much reading (except kid reading) this week.

pickJust finished reading this and wow! I‘m so glad I gave it a read, I was expecting a light hearted retelling of the wizard of oz but what I got was interesting social commentary on racism, discrimination, and communism. Absolutely worth the read.
I've had my Wicked phone case since I got my iPhone back in November 2014. I love Wicked, but I decided it was time for a new case. And since my latest obsession is Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, I decided my new case should represent that.

Okay so not ~strictly~ book related but guys I am SO EXCITED FOR THIS! I have been in love with these songs since I was 16 and I am finally seeing the show 💚💚💚
Last night was our trip to see Wicked in Buffalo. Three hours on a school bus with 45 teenagers... totally worth it! Only one or two had seen the show before and they were blown away - even the guys who were only dragged along by their girlfriends 😉
I loved being able to share one of my favorite shows with my students and coworkers! And I managed not to lose anyone, so I'd say it was a successful field trip!
