I've been silent for a few days because I had to let my cat Scratchy go. She was 16 years old and was suffering from arthritis and cancer. She was always such a fiesty little furball and lived life on her own terms. I loved her despite her sharp claws of kitty justice. She would also purr just for me. That's how I want to remember her. She will always be in my heart and I'll love her forever. But I miss her so very much.

Here‘s my real Cat Anthony 😻

It's been a harrowing couple of days! It seems Scratchy has arthritis and is in the midst of a flare up. The trip to the vet was awful and included sedation just so she could be examined. Blood work results come back tomorrow. She is on pain meds and is telling us all about her ordeal! I'll probably be up all night monitoring her. I just want her to be ok. And I want to run away with a book. Thanks for letting me unload. 💙

Another catch-up post. This is my beautiful 6 year old girl Raven, who I wanted to show you for #internationalcatday. We've had her for about 10 months.
I admit that I know nothing about the book I tagged, but the title drew me in. Last August we lost our 16 yo cat Max, who was a rescue we'd had for four years. He was a force of nature, and when we lost him we felt like our hearts had been ripped out.

It took me awhile to convince myself that I was ready for a new kitty after the loss of my Binx. However this evil, maniacal, ninja kitty assassin needed a new home. Meet Oreo LeQuan Charles, a.k.a. El Diablo. We love him❣️❣️❣️❣️ (Don't let the sweet face fool you!)

Lots of things make me happy, but this little fur face is one of them. I'm actually severely allergic to cats, so I'll never have a #LittenKitten of my own. Maddie is my brother's cat, so I only see her when I visit him or when he's spending an extended period of time with us. She's a little weird and super ornery at times, but I love her to bits. #funfridayphoto
