I‘ve enjoyed reading this. I picked out a few favorite stories as I usually do. My favorites from this collection are ‘The Naval Treaty‘, ‘The Yellow Face ‘ and ‘The Greek interpreter.‘

Going WAY back on the tbr for today's new read 📚
Another excellent installment in the works of Doyle's Holmes and Watson.
We are finally introduced to Mycroft and Moriarty in this collection, and I was quite excited to see them making an appearance at last.
So, my biggest reading goal of this year is to read through the books on my bookcase. I'm trying to do this at random and have two ways I'm thinking of doing this: I have a spreadsheet of all of them, random # draw to choose OR the way I ended up with this book.. a d4 to pick the shelf and a d20 to pick the book. DNFing will be heavily encouraged for this adventure.
I've never actually read any Holmes.. we'll see how this goes!
Awe.. I love Sherlock! I just love love love Sherlock I am so glad we have chosen this for our #NovelWatchingCrew (#NWC) books this month. I have been missing out! I am hoping to finish one more by the end of this month :) Also have been watching a ton of Elementary (when the service is decent enough for streaming)
#MayBookBingo #Challenge #LibraryBingo
Okay so I love them both but I have to keep with Sherlock. I love the way his mind works.. I mean I love Watson's level-headedness I feel like Sherlock needs him or he would spiral. But yeah... I have to stick with Sherlock as a fav (if we have to have favs)
I have a hunch but ... I think I am wrong ... I will post it in the comments in libby as a spoiler (but I am pretty confident I am wrong)
#NovelWatchingCrew (#NWC)
So I am gonna start this one today/or tomorrow! I am really loving these Sherlock Holmes. I am so thankful that #NovelWatchingCrew (#NWC) decided to pick this as their May books (it was something I had been wanting to read and was on my TBR -- after having watched the BBC Sherlock show, but just had never gotten to them til now)
Just completed The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes 1893. I felt that after reading the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes that this particular 11 case series would be more of the same deductions and “obvious” reasoning from our friend Sherlock. I admit the stories can be cumbersome at times but this was slightly better than the Adventure series. My favorite remains A Study in Scarlet which was Doyle‘s original Sherlock story.
As I've been listening to the #audible production of the Sherlock Holmes catalogue narrated by Stephen Fry, I've mostly been underwhelmed. This one was different. I enjoyed the stories in this collection and am looking forward to more. My fave in this one was "The Final Problem." I'll take this to check off the #unitedkingdom for #ReadingEurope2020.
@BarbaraBB @Librarybelle ?
I got this miniature metal street sign at the Sherlock Holmes museum in London, and it marks my classics collection on my bookshelf! Definitely my favourite bit of literary loot! #24in48
Oh @DaveGreen7777 — how do I pick just one favorite villain?!? Here a just 4 of my faves. We can‘t have epic heroes with an equally epic adversary.
I would love to teach a course on the other side of the story. Assigned reading would be things like Wizard of Oz versus Wicked—who‘s the real “villain”? Because each one of the so-called villains has their own story. And one is never a villain in one‘s own story.

Both "Adventures" and "Memoirs" are short story collections featuring the timeless tales of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. In "Adventures," we get a glimpse of "that woman," Irene Adler in the very first short, "A Scandal in Bohemia." ?
But "Memoirs" promises Professor Moriarty!

Love this children‘s illustration of Sherlock Holmes. The art is so colorful.
#HelloThursday
1. Not a romantic couple, but you can‘t have Sherlock without Watson!
2. Tulip
3. Chocolate
😘💜😘💜😘💜 - love to all!
Thanks to Steve Donoghue on Booktube, I picked up my first Sherlock Holmes story at the end of last year. And ever since then I have kept coming back to these fun stories.
Thanks to #WhoDunItAThon I slotted The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes into my January TBR and have loved reading through the 11 cases.
I wasn‘t prepared for the ending of The Final Problem...but that didn‘t spoil my experience at all.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#HumpDayPost
1. Hard to chose between Sherlock and Bilbo.. #sherlock #sherlocked
2. Dark teal=😍 Orange= yuck.
3. Orange juice. 😩 I was running late and didn‘t have time to eat breakfast.
4. Not really. I do macrame but I‘m not brilliant at it.
5. Natural Grocers plain chapstick.
@MinDea
I‘m still really enjoying reading through all the Sherlock Holmes stories, these are shorter stories so feel different than the other books but thoroughly satisfying reading 🕵🏻♂️🕯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I finally have a kid old enough to play 221 B Baker Street with me!! 😍😍
I'm def not getting this anthology done by the end of the year but I wanna just keep working on it when I feel like
@BookNerd9906 @wordslinger42
Box arrived last night! Can't cant wait for opening day!
#foodimentarywatson
@CSeydel did your package arrive yet? I don‘t want to open mine until I know you have yours as well!
It's here. 😊 Now I have to wait until May 27th, than I can open it. From May 22nd until May 27th I will on a little holiday, so I can't open it on Doyle's birthday. 🤷
Thank you @wanderinglynn . I am always shocked how expensive postage is. 😱😱
Thank you @Beckykearns for organising this. 😊
@PickwickPlockPlock Here is my complete edition. Nine books and a fitting slipcase. I made two pictures from the illustrations aswell. 🤗😍💖 #sherlocked
Even though I already mentioned Sherlock Holmes, I really need to choose him for #character aswell. #litsyclassics @Bambolina_81
Quite another obvious choice for #male . 😍😘 #litsyclassics @Bambolina_81
Working in a different office building today and they have this in a corner...
#litsyclassics #villain @Sarah83 @Bambolina_81
The evil mastermind on the right is Professor James Moriarty. First introduced in The Adventure of the Final Problem and hardly ever mentioned after, he's Sherlock Holmes' dark mirror. Even people who have never read the stories or seen an adaptation, have heard of him. That's why he's my pick for today.
Just waiting on one final item for the #ConanDoyleSwap and then I shall be shipping it off to @Beckykearns 👌🏻😉 I can‘t wait for her to open it! (This isn‘t for her, this is my one single Sherlock book I own) I‘ll also be shipping my #JaneAustenSwap parcel then too because I don‘t get to the PO often and won‘t be able to make separate trips for both parcels. Just a heads up @jenniferw88 as you said you‘d be away at some point. 💋🤗

I was so exhausted last night I could NOT manage the last 10 pages. What an embarrassment considering that was “The Final Problem”, but I anxiously finished first thing this morning. While I like “Adventures” better, this is certainly a must-read for Sherlock fans.
My neice pointed out that Sycamore looks like Sherlock. 😆
I saw this some days ago, when @vivastory posted this and now on Christmas, I have to share it. 🤗
Merry Christmas my lovely Littens and many bookish gifts. 😊
@rubyslippersreads look what arrived one day before Christmas. So sweet that you send me this parcel. 😍🤗❣️
I really like everything. This tiny Sherlock book is really amazing. 😍
Look at today's advent calendar tea. So cute.
I'm re-reading all the ACD Sherlock stories and just finished this one. It contains my favorite short story - The Yellow Face - and it introduces Mycroft in The Greek Interpreter.
This audio was just so_so for me.

Sherlock Holmes certainly knew his enemy and they finally came to meet at the Reichenbach Falls. The short story of this infamous meeting can be found entitled The Final Problem in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. On an aside I loved the portrayal of Moriarty by Andrew Scott, he just oozed menace and evil! #rocktober #knowyourenemy
