The most popular book I read was Lessons in Chemistry (I hated it). The least popular was an Australian book of dog photography - I'm the only one to have shelved it!

It‘s been an interesting year for fiction!

I made my Goodreads challenge of 150 books. Not a bad page count, though I hope to read more next year.

All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with where this landed. Can't say I'm sad to see the end of 2020, but there were some good books mixed into the madness!

Maybe the only thing 2020 was good for was reading 😂😂😂

Despite having a slump in March/April I managed to meet (and exceed) my reading goal... and I def have Litsy, book clubs, and audiobooks to thank for that.

It‘s been a weird year and I know 2021 is going to be more of the same - but there‘s now a light at the end of the tunnel. Happy for that.

Love the #litsy community my goal was to read 20 books but somehow got to 73! How was your year in books?

I can't believe I managed to read over 250 books again during 2020!!! I didn't break the record set last year, but I'm definitely more than happy with these numbers. I was lucky enough to have so many fantastic titles too! Getting a top 10 or even top 20 together will be challenging. 😅😂 Happy New Year everyone!! 🎊🎇🎆🥂

Not my best year by far. Didn‘t hit my goal of 200 - moved, new job, the ‘VID hit and then a company reorganization that kept me barely above water for two months. Hoping 2021 will get me back on track!

@WanderingBookaneer tagged me to post my #top6reads of 2020. With The Cruel Prince, I would include the entire series since I flew through them one right after the other. And although I read the first two books in the Scythe series last year, I highly recommend that entire series. Let me know yours!!

Passed my 2019 reading goal of 100 books! Thirty of them were children‘s books, but hey they‘re still books, right? 😉🤗

Longest read of 2019 was G.R.R.M‘s “A Dance With Dragons”.

The bar graph shows my book sources with purple for library, light blue for owned or free, and dark blue for borrowed from friends.

I'd better get started!

My GR challenge is bi polar! One says I read 179 books but the last box says I‘ve read 183. I know I‘ve read 183 so just pretend the top number says that ok. I‘ve set my next years goal at 250, 100 more than this year, so we‘ll see if I can manage it. Fingers crossed!🤞

My year in books!

Happy New Years everyone!

I finished two books on December 31 so my Year in Books is finally complete. I‘m happy with what I read last year, which included some really great books. I‘m particularly proud of having read more nonfiction. Now on to 2020!

#MyYearInBooks from Goodreads plus a few other details. The two books that have stuck with me throughout this year were The Tale of #Genji and The History of the Hobbit, both read with fantastic Litsy readalong groups.

A little off to the side but I've read the most I have ever read in a year.

32,779 pages and 159 books out of my goal of 60. I'm really proud of myself and I'm so excited for the next year and hope I can read just as much or more.

My books per year and pages per year both went up (although pages didn‘t go up by much), but my average pages per book went down this year. I did read some chunksters in 2016 and 2017 with lower word counts than one might expect though. I‘d be interested to see how the total and average word count per book has fluctuated too, but that‘s a little more work than I‘d like to do right now. 😂

We‘re traveling the next few days so I doubt I‘ll finish anything else before year‘s end. This was a record year for me - largely thanks to Litsy!! In fact, every year since joining has been a record year. 🤗

And it‘s pretty cool that both my shortest and longest reads were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. #myyearinbooks

I usually get way more excited by this then is actually warranted.

My shortest book was Dr. Seuss' ABC Book at 24 pages, and my longest book was The Iliad/Odyssey by Homer at a woppin 1,556 pages!!! 😳😳😳
But the show ain't over yet folks!!!
