Okay #BookSpin friends, I know we're still a ways away from July 2, but I wanted to let you know what I'm thinking of doing for July's fun - #BookSpinBingo!!! Here's the idea - I'll draw the two regular numbers (as seen at the top of the card). Then I will put those numbers back in the jar and draw out all the numbers, filling in the bingo card as I go. In order to make it a full 25-space bingo card, I added in all the months except May - ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) to fill in those squares, you read one book from your #BookSpin list of that month. (I skipped May because a lot of people read all/almost all of their books for #BookSpinBonanza). If you can't find your list from those months, or you use the same list every month, treat it as a Free space, because we all know I love a lawless challenge! 😂 What do you all think? Does this look doable? I'm tagging everyone (sorry!) so if people want ⬇ 5y

My thought is this way people can just to the regular BookSpin/DoubleSpin or they can go for as many bingos as they want, or even try for the full card!! Cinfhen I have an idea that might be simpler / we create a 20/25 place Bingo board/ you pull your usual 2 numbers/ we try to complete a bingo based off of those 2 numbers. So if u pulled 4 and 11 I can choose which books on my board I want to read that will help fill a line / am I making sense?? In my head it seems easy (edited) 5y

mrsmarch I only started in May, and I‘ve reused my board in June (replacing the books I‘ve read with new choices). So whatever the veterans want to do is fine by me! 5y

ravenlee Hmmm, intriguing. I had to read it twice to understand, but that‘s because I‘m sleep-deprived and stressed! I‘ll have to ponder. I like the idea but I‘m not sure I will be able to do it next month. 5y

TheAromaofBooks @Cinfhen - so you're saying the board would just be the numbers in order, and then a bingo from there based on the two picked numbers? (Just trying to understand haha) My assumption is people will try to score a bingo from those numbers no matter what, since they are still the numbers that “count“ for the month. 5y

AllisonM89 @TheAromaofBooks I think the original idea just sounded more complicated than it is. I think we all need to remember that all the numbers do is dictate which books fill which squares. You can read in whatever order you'd like.. 5y

Tineke So let me get this straight. Let's say number 4 is the bookspin number, then I can either make a bingo by reading book 20, 7, 17, 14 and 4 or book 5, 10, 18, one from the April-list and ofcourse 4? 5y

TheAromaofBooks @AllisonM89 - Any time before I draw the numbers on the 2nd of the month. I usually post a reminder a week before (so this month it will be around the 25th) so the majority of people post their lists sometime in that week leading up to the drawing. As you may have gathered, the “rules“ are a bit loose 😂 5y

TheAromaofBooks @Tineke - Yes!! That's it exactly!! And if you are feeling particularly ambitious, you can also make a bingo using the DoubleSpin number, or honestly any direction you want. I assume most people will use the “official“ numbers as part of their bingo, because those are the ones that “count“ as the official BookSpin entries for the month, but if anyone wants to make random bingos in other directions, I'm all for it!! 5y

Clare-Dragonfly Sounds like fun! My list so far has been basically my paper TBR, so I would have to put my other planned July reads on the list to have ANY chance at a bingo, haha. Question: I‘ve only really participated for June so far, so for the months could I just treat them as free spaces? And can free spaces be the same books that are on my list? 5y

TheAromaofBooks @Clare-Dragonfly - Since I pretty much make up the rules as I go along (lol) any months where you didn't have a list, or can't find your list, or you have no idea why you even put those books ON the list, can definitely be replaced by random books that either are or aren't on your current list. Alternatively, you could make a list of 25 instead of 20 books, and then Jan=21, Feb=22, etc. 5y
