Hello Littens! My book club has decided we want to read a Fifty Shades type book, but hoping for a bit more plot. 😉 Or, maybe something along the lines of Verity by Colleen Hoover. Something fun and entertaining. Suggestions, please??? Thank you!!! The picture is just for fun. 🥰#petsoflitsy #catsoflitsy #dogsoflitsy
I'm on the last book 📚 in this salacious trilogy. I highly recommend it, if you're looking for a steamy beach 🏖️ read for summer.
Guess what Littens? I'm back! I apologize for the hiatus, but life has been getting in the way. Since my last post, I have become a book reviewer on Instagram, and I get paid to do book reviews for the Online Book Club website! I have also started writing again and I have three books going that I hope to publish all at around the same time! I've missed you all and it feels so good to finally be back! ❤

#16, #17, #18: Well this happened. I was super late to this party, but WOW do I have so many thoughts about this series. Also I watched the movie. Who DANNY ELFMAN did the music for... which remains the only redeeming quality. The coercion doesn‘t feel sexy - despite loving BDSM bc explicit consent around power exchange is actually hella trauma informed when done correctly. I now see why the BDSM community was like *nope* we do not claim this.
Let's talk about it
I been asked to read and review this book and so here we are. I think this one is one of the instances where I feel like the movie was better. Although I didn't hate the book and it wasn't all bad there was certain things about it that complety turn me off. For example Anna was so whiney. In the movie she was much more assertive.
Read these a couple of years ago before the movies were made. Everyone seemed to be reading these books so I gave it a try! Did not disappoint!
According to NPD Bookscan the best selling books of the last decade are...

50 Shades of F%#£ing Gray
Because of the fanclub...the same people who constantly talked to me like "how can you read" or "or how can you read books without pictures" or "reading is boring" or "are you really reading that big book, I will die if I have to" or versions of this, was the same stupid people jumping on the bandwagon, buying the book, huddling in small groups to discuss it and telling me that it is the greatest literary work ever?
Having a #lovehate relationship with this trilogy already. I rolled my eyes so much, and tutted, that I feared stuck eyes when I got to the "plot twist" villain in book two.
Worst villain is Ana's boss, Jack.

Mamma Mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma Mia, does it show again
My my, just how much I‘ve missed you?
Yes, I‘ve been broken-hearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma Mia, now I really know
My, my, I could never let you go
I guess this is how Christian is feeling at the beginning of book two, after how he and Anastasia ended things in book one. #MammaMia #ABBAinAugusy
I hate that just because this book has such a strong sexual presence that people give it an overall bad image. This is a love story and just like every other love story there‘s a connection between two people. The love between Anna and Christian is what made her different from all the other girls. He noticed her and he change for her because she‘s the one that he really wanted. It‘s more than just sex, it‘s a connection unlike any other.
Happy Sunday #Littens! Get ready to laugh 😄😂🤣😆

1. I don‘t feel guilty about my reading choices because my goal is to read all the books- but the tagged series the one I get the more flak for.
2. Any old school remakes or movies “based” on books. 🤫
3. Baked goods. French fries. Chicken nuggets. Basically anything that is delicious for my soul but horrible for my body.

#ForgiveMe but I just couldn't get into this series. I know it's extremely popular, but it definitely wasn't for me. 🙅🙅🙅 I didn't even want to post a picture, I disliked it so much #AdelesMayMashUp @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
This series just did not work for me! I'm yet to read the 3rd book! I found the same dialogues being repeated, similar scenarios. Just too monotonous for me! And I hated the protagonists! I thought Anna was too whiny! And her inner goddess annoyed me! Once or twice was okay but it was getting repeated everywhere! Christian Grey wasn't appealing either! Atleast I thought he was a psycho!😂😂 Just my opinion though and I haven't watched the movies!
#NuYear Really?!? Am I the only one who's mind went to the gutter for this prompt!?!? #AreFriendsElectric ???Define "friend" ??
These books are in my top picks to read. These books will suck you in and have you not wanting to put them down until the end. Each book gets better more adventure ,love and lust.
I have never read or watched the Fifty Shades of Gray trilogy. As someone who was once in a controlling, abuse relationship, I have some very strong feelings about seeing that kind of thing romanticized. The points made in this link perfectly sum those feelings up. 🚫 https://everydayfeminism.com/2015/03/50-shades-of-abuse-10-signs-of-unhealthy-re... #NeverHaveiEver @ItsAngel
Just saw this on author Rachel Demeter's Instagram and had to share.
I loved the story line and characters, some of the writing was repetitive and I found it annoying but other than that I liked it
I wanted to experience the craze about the male protagonist of this series. Everyone asked me to read the book before I plan on watching the movie.....they were so right! The book...it's so amazing! 😍☺️

I loved this series but I also loved this photo I took for one of the #fanaticalbird bookstagram #challenges what did you think of 50 shades
When this trilogy came out, I caved and read the first one, just to understand the hype. I loathed the characters and did not like the writing style. The popularity continued, so I decided to give the series #onemoretry. Maybe things got better? Nope, not for me. I've only read one and two. The Grey saga can stay a mystery to me. #JuneTunz
Loved the books but even though I've watched the films, the books are far better.
#LyricalApril Day 4 #CheapThrills Don't judge me....yup, I read ALL three books!!! My only defense, I was on vacation and I kept hitting the buy now button as I sat by the pool, under the striped umbrella with the delicious strawberry daiquiris by my side 🍹⛱☀️
Anna's inner goddess annoyed me no end and yet not only did I read the first book, I actually finished the whole series! 😳 #marchintoreading #didntlikeitstillfinished
As a lover of books and literature I wanted to be able to hate these books with some evidence behind the hate. #didntlikeitstillfinishedit #marchintoreading
The book had a great plot and storyline, but it was poorly written. There was constant repetition and it became more agitating as I continued reading the book. Overall, the dialogue was intriguing! If you're into erotica fiction types of books, this is the one for you!
many people told me it's not really a good book, but I'm curious so I decided to try. let's see if they're right or not 😊
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm watching the first movie for the second time because my Facebook feed (the one day I check it!) was blown up with the teaser trailer for the second.... Why do I do this to myself?!??
If you enjoy reading romance novels with bdsm like qualities - choose this book. When I read the first book it was interesting to see how unrealistic it was that Anastasia's character was somewhat of an expert as far as being in d/s relationship- and Christian Grey knowingly having control over her. It was rushed, and in the first book I rolled my eyes ?every time I read "my inner Goddess".
I've read it and I am not sorry. It was a surprise for me because I didn't know at the time anything about this book and it got to my attention by accident. It was interesting and fun to read.
