All action thriller that never stopped. Easy, entertaining read.
It‘s been 24 hours since I‘ve listened to an audiobook. 24 HOURS‼️‼️‼️ This is jarring considering I‘ve been listening to a series nearly nonstop for the last two weeks. I ran out of borrows and none of my other libraries has the next book. But I guess this is practice as the next book is the last one that has been published and I‘ll likely have to wait a year for the one after that.
I am apparently on kidnapped child book reading kick as I just finished The Chain a few weeks ago. Found this book in a lending library and thought “what the hell” and it ended up being pretty good. It was interesting to see how a couple beats a mastermind at his own game. Easy read!
I'm going to try to finish 2 of the books pictured and read for about 18 hours this weekend. #24B4Monday #readathon

With just over 20 hours of reading completed, I‘m calling it quits for this #24in48 weekend. This is my third time participating and the closest I‘ve come to the 24 hour mark! 😊🎉
I finished One of Us is Lying, Swan Song, and Anne Frank‘s Diary: The Graphic Adaptation, started and bailed on The Turn of the Screw, and have read just under half of The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. Pretty successful weekend, I would say.
...aaaand DONE!! 🎉👏🏽🎊💥🙌🏽🎊👏🏽🎉
I‘ll probably get in a little bit more reading before the deadline tonight, but for now I‘m gonna take a break & clean my extremely neglected kitchen 😂. How are y‘all doing? Whether it‘s for 24 hours or 2, I hope you got in some great reading this weekend!! ♥️♥️♥️ #24in48
Well I‘m not gonna make #24b4Monday or #24in48 because I only have 8 hours total at this point and haven‘t done any reading yet today. But I‘m okay with that because I was working hard on my writing biz since early this morning and got a lot done. I feel completely justified in chilling the rest of the day, I‘ll be bouncing between this book, Queen Sugar in audio, and maybe a little #Librivox in the mix. @Andrew65 @ReadingMermaid
I completely forgot about this so I'm jumping in at the 11th hour for the #24in48 readathon!! I'm behind in my reading this month so I'm hoping this helps me catch up.
I just signed up for the 24 in 48 Readathon scheduled for January 26th and 27th. I haven't participated in any official readathons before, so I'm pretty excited. I'm gonna try to talk my 16 year old into doing it with me. Have you ever done a readathon?
You can sign up for this one at 24in48.com.
#24in48 #Readathon
Last post before my battery dies.
I made it, with lots of reading time to spare.
Finished three books, started two new ones (noticed I had not read book two of the Wilde series when reading chapter one of book three), in the middle of one I started some time ago.
#24B4Monday #readathon @TheReadingMermaid
I made it! My first successful #24in48 #readathon is in the books! (pun intended) @24in48
Whew! #24in48 is wrapped up for me, and although I didn‘t hit the 24-hour mark, I‘m pleased with my stack of completed books! Well, mostly completed. 😏 I‘m halfway through that top one (and am loving it). 4.5 books completed, all from my TBR, and I‘m calling it a win. And also I won a prize on the hour 36 challenge!! So a fantastic readathon all around. It‘s been so much fun—thank you to the hosts, and to everyone for their posts along the way!
With three hours logged, I‘m calling it a night. 106 pages read of Sing, Unburied, Sing, and 89 pages of The Penderwicks at Point Mouette—not a bad start to the #24in48 readathon! Happy reading to those who are still reading, and sweet dreams to those who are headed the same direction as I am right now... 😴 💤 🛏 See you tomorrow!
The nice thing about being in GMT time zone is that 12am eastern is 10pm Friday night. The lame part though is I‘m not sure I can stay awake another hour just so I can get a start on reading! 😂
My goal this #24in48 is to make a dent in finishing these that I‘ve already started. I own the physical books but downloaded all but legendary from the library for easier transportation.
Here‘s my stack for the upcoming readathon. Haha, no, I won‘t be able to read all, but since I‘m a mood reader, I like to have options. The Blazing World is a buddy read which I‘m halfway already, so I hope to finish it this weekend. The closest I got was 19 hours, this time, we‘ll see how it goes.
#24in48
#24in48 stack ready!! This particular book selection is inspired by moving soon and wanting to get rid of books on my To Read shelf so I don't have to move them, and holds at the library coming through 😜 hoping to make a dent in my #readharder challenge as well! @24in48
This is the stack I plan to choose from for #24in48 this weekend—all from my TBR shelves. I won‘t get through them all, but I need choices! 😁 I will also no doubt intersperse some comics here and there.
My main priority is Sing, Unburied, Sing—since I won it in a Goodreads giveaway and it‘s been sitting there for about six weeks now. Any recommendations for what else I should prioritize?
Signed up for the July #24in48 Readathon! This will be my third try, hoping to successfully complete 24 hours for the first time. Who else is planning to participate?
This was an ok #palatecleanser for me, a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. A reasonably well-written thriller. Glad to have tried a new author, but wonder whether I might be a bit ‘over‘ this genre?
#booknlunch #currentlyreading #blameitonlitsy
I‘ve never read Greg Iles before, but have seen that many Littens rate him. Enjoying this #palatecleanser so far.
Book 1 - Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell
Book 2 - Zoo by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge
Book 3 - Death of a Celebrity by M C Beaton
Talk about your eleventh hour sign-up😄 Just signed up for my first Dewey‘s 24-hour #readathon Have no idea what I‘m in for, but need a reading boost!
Anyone else doing this?
So... it turns out I deleted my timer on my stopwatch app without knowing it! 🤦🏻♀️ I don‘t remember the exact numbers but I read about 8.5 hours on day 1, and only 3.5 hours on day 2. I‘m going to roughly estimate 12 hours in total, and definitely try my seat to beat that next time. Unfortunately my reading plans were set aside when we had a few unexpected plans come up... But I‘m sure I‘ll read more next time. ♥️

And that‘s all she wrote! Time for the eyes to sleep! It‘s been an excellent weekend. #24in48 #24in48readathon
Looks like I made it. Hip Hip Hooray! 🎉🎊🍾🥂😳👏🙌 Thanks everyone for your support over the past 48 hours!
Entering the 24th hour in the #24in48 #Readathon. Got one more hour to read with 1 hr 15 minutes to go! Should scrape in Hopefully 😬🙈
More than 1/2 way there. #24in48 #24in48readathon
On good time to make my 12 hours today- yawn!!! About 1/2 way through 3 books- I keep switching up!!
I don't know very well how this works but I'm going to start now. I will try to do my best but I have to work for a couple of hours 😫One of my goals is to read books received in different swaps. I received this one from @tpixie during the fairy retelling swap. Here I go #24in48
Just got back from the library and I'm officially prepped and ready to go for my first #24in48 readathon! #ambitious but I have a few that have been on my #tbr for years, other new ones that peaked my interest, and I hope to make a good dent in my #readharder challenge. Here goes nothing! @24in48
I just signed up for my first #24in48! I have my doubts about getting in 24 hours all by myself, but @Pamwurtzler and I are joining forces to combine for those 24 hours-wish us luck!
I suppose I‘ll give this a try! I‘m not sure how well I‘ll end up doing, since I do have to work Saturday morning to the afternoon, but I know I can get some major reading in after! #24in48
Amazing thriller by an amazing author. Greg Iles never disappoints!
Just started this! I love everything Greg Iles writes so I‘m really excited
I had this book, but I think I let someone borrow it and it was never returned... 🤭😖

#Novemberbythenumbers
This was my first ever Greg Iles book, being book 2 in the Mississippi Series. An excellent thriller with non-stop action from this great writer. Read this three years ago this month but certain elements of the story have stayed strongly with me. Recommend Greg Iles book strongly! #Novemberbythenumbers #24 #twentyfour
1. 10 books = 3363 pages. Plus 24min of audiobook
2. 24 hours and 8 minutes
3. I like how easy it is to join in and how to see how everyone's progressing
4. It would be nice for there to be more international prizes it's not really a big deal
5. Yes! It's my fave and so great 😍
#24in48
1. 5 books read: The Tempest, Proof of Concept, Lady Cop Makes Trouble, Universal Harvester, In the Language of My Captor, 300 Arguments; 3 made progress in: Pirate Woman, Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, The Satanic Verses. ~1200 pgs 😵
2. 24:00
3/4. I think it went well as usual! Love the variety of prizes & encouragement.
5. Hell yes, but I will be NAPPING, getting takeout & picking out audiobooks ahead of time. 😳 #24in48
And with 8 minutes to spare, I did it! Now I have to go to bed and then go to work wondering where the weekend went. #24in48.
All in all, a successful readathon. Not a dud in the bunch. The Sherman Alexie was my favorite. #24in48
