Late Post. I had a pretty successful #october20in4 - finished White Teeth (amazing!), started and finished I‘ll Be Gone In the Dark (OK), and started a new to me Mystery series with Bruno, Chief of Police (enjoying it so far). Thanks for a great #readathon @Bookgoil

Yesterday was a tough day at work, so I am looking forward to relaxing today and adding some points for #scarathlon2020. Wracked up a few by watching an episode of Ratched while making my board.

#OctoberTBR = more books than I will finish?! (I even took some out of the pile! 😂) I‘m also starting that massive McCullough history of Christianity this month (but that will carry on throughout the year until June).

Four of these are in progress, three are spooky-ish or at least feel October-y to me, and then it seemed timely to pick up Jesus for President again and maybe finish it. And then the library books that I meant to finish last month!

I head into October with a couple books hanging over my head, so my #OctoberTBR consists of the books I want to read for #Screamathon, two in-progress reads, and two other books I‘d really like to read before the week is out.

Here is my October TBR. I won a physical ARC of We Keep The Dead Close from Goodreads in September. This book goes on sale November 10. I wasn‘t planning on reading it right now but I‘m trying to do better about reading my ARCs on time and if I don‘t read it this month then it‘s not going to get read on time. I already started Lonesome Dove. I‘m 500 pgs into it so I need to finish it this month. This book is 858 pages.

Bit late as I was on holiday. Tried to get through a few spooky books for Halloween month. Didn't do too badly

14 more down in October and I'm more than on track to reach my yearly goal of 125. Faves were The Lost Book of the Grail, the re-read via audiobook of Just One Damned Thing After Another, and Ninth House. Most challenging was probably The 2020 Commission Report...only because it's been quite some time since I've read something that straightforwardly military. All in all, another good month.

So I finally got back into my reading and my Litsy grooves in #october

Many of you have been posting gorgeous October pictures. Here‘s one of October in south Louisiana. In other words, we don‘t have fall. It is still in the 80‘s and 90‘s here. We are getting a cool front tonight though. We still won‘t have those gorgeous colors many of you have.

#October means Thanksgiving! I love a food holiday! My kids have a four day weekend. There will be much cooking, and eating, this weekend.
