1. Definitely the people! Everyone here is so friendly, and I see none of the drama that permeates other social media.
2. Honestly, nothing. Even when I‘m not participating in something, it‘s fun to see other people‘s posts on it.
3. Maybe the ability to message each other?
4. It varies, but usually at least 3 times a week.
5. I haven‘t done any swaps yet! 🙈 But I‘ve enjoyed all the other things.
6. Maybe increase the character limit on posts?

JoyBlue @Leftcoastzen Thanks for asking after him! 💙 I‘ve decided not to try another feeding session until his usual night (Thursday). Maybe going without will be incentive enough to not piddle around about it this week. In the meantime, he looks good, and he‘s “playing nice” with me at night—exploring for a bit, then settling down for a bit before I put him back in his habitat. 5y

Carolyn11215 Woah...a scorpion? You are one brave gal. That‘s one of the few things in the Southwest that scare the bejesus out of me. Some of them glow in the dark...Friends and I insist that‘s because they are made of nightmares. 😜 Love bunnies and I‘m a fan of snakes that I know aren‘t poisonous. Geckos are awesome! BeansPage @Carolyn11215 haha that is awesome. Usually people go off on me about the spiders. Don't worry he is not poisonous at all. He is an Asian forest scorpion which is one of the bigger black colored breeds. He is a total asshole though and will tag you if you get near LOL the snake that we have is a ball python and she is the sweetest thing. And are leopard gecko used to bark when she was younger but not anymore. 5y

Carolyn11215 Pythons are sooo cool! My spouse is always lecturing me about how spiders are our friends so I try hard to live and let live with spiders as long as they stay out of my bedroom. Even she put her foot down (pun intended) when she found a baby black widow spider in her sneaker that had been left on the back porch. I thought to check about scorpions before moving to Santa Fe (no sightings in town) but neglected to ask about Black Widows. (edited) 5y

Carolyn11215 Apparently Black Widows are both shy and smart. She shook the baby out of her shoe and it rolled over and played dead. When she came back outside deciding she couldn‘t leave it where dog could eat it when she goes out in the back yard, it had moved off the porch and hidden somewhere else. (edited) 5y

Mine are just harmless tarantulas. one of them is the most gentle animal I've ever met in my life and the other two are just so fascinating to watch. And yes are ball python (Baby Jane) is such a sweetheart. Which is funny cuz when we got her she was so high-strung that she would strike at anybody that came near her. But not anymore 💕🐍💕 5y

Carolyn11215 So apparently just outside Santa Fe at a particular time of year there is a “March of the Tarantulas” where they all come out and walk around. My boss lives on a farm out of town (hence the baby goat in our office) and jumped off her stairs when she saw one crawling around. Apparently it‘s quite the sight...I fear it would be a heartstopping one for me. :) (edited) 5y

Carolyn11215 My spouse got struck by a hungry python at a pet store a gazillion years ago when she was wagging its dead mouse meal in front of it and python misjudged distance. Apparently that‘s quite the ouchy. It was normally a very affectionate python (loved to be cuddled for body heat) so my spouse didn‘t hold a grudge. :) 5y

BeansPage @Carolyn11215 oh my goodness that would be a sight to see wouldn't it? and yeah I've heard of that happening with pythons more than once. That is why we have decided to live feed hours and let her hunt so we don't get tagged. I think it helps her with her natural instinct to hunt prey anyway. not to mention she's damn good at what she does 😂 5y

Carolyn11215 I think Skip fed it dead mice because the python had been injured by a mouse/rat that managed to get a bite in before being swallowed and the python was pretty sick and wouldn‘t eat for awhile due to the injury. Skip was very fond of that python when she worked at pet shop. 5y

BeansPage @Carolyn11215 I know that is a complication that can happen with live feeding. but honestly our python grabs them up so quickly they're dead within seconds. That's sad that that happened I'm so sorry. 5y

Carolyn11215 The python healed and as I recall went home with someone who took very good care of it. Skip ended up with the cranky conure who bit everyone who bought it and kept being brought back to the pet shop. She finally brought it home herself when owner of the store threatened to euthanize it. Think Skip decided to leave their employ shortly thereafter. 5y

SleepyDragon 26 ... I don't always take a book unless I think I might have to sit or wait somewhere with nothing else to do. (For example, yes when going to pick my oldest up from school or an activity, no when I'm running to the store for milk. I do always have a prayer book in my purse, but I don't really count that.) 6y

BrooklynBookGirl I like podcasts a lot, but I don't know if any that relate to books--so I couldn't answer quite a few of the questions. However; I think 30 minutes would be optimal with either a deep digestion of one text or a story map of the 30 min. block relating one topic to multiple books (a lá TAL). An accompanying website would be cool, but I think it would be better to have a strong Instagram and twitter presence. 7y

KathyWheeler Oh my God, yes! The narrator's voice on Truly, Madly, Guilty drove me crazy. I had the same problem with the person who narrated Big Little Lies. 7y

Jess7 @KathyWheeler I think I must of read the physical book of Big Little Lies bc I don't remember having a bad narrator and I loved that book. However, the voice of the narrator for Truly, madly guilty was nails on a chalkboard bad lol ESPECIALLY when she attempted to change her voice to be different characters - omg when she tried to be the child Holly and whined - I thought I might lose it 😳😫🤣 7y

Laalaleighh Hey!!! I just opened my #letsgetcozy package and I loooooove it! I have a black cat and the black cat mystery made me sooo happy! Karkar One of the turnoffs that was not listed but has kept me from listening to our podcasts is if I do not like the hosts voices or they have annoying habits that you can hear on the podcast 7y

mrsmarch I literally just sat down to try and find a good book podcast and couldn't. I subscribed to a couple of politics and news ones though. I'm new to podcast life and am currently not 100% committed. 7y

Lindy I listen to quite a few book-related podcasts, so I had trouble limiting my favourites to 3. As far as drop day, there isn't a "doesn't matter" option, which I would have chosen. My app catches them and I listen to whichever whenever I am in the mood. 7y
