Bingo Barge Murder
Bingo Barge Murder: A Shay O'Hanlon Caper | Jessie Chandler
4 posts
Shay O'Hanlon's life as co-owner of The Rabbit Hole, a quirky-cool Minneapolis coffee shop, is well caffeinated, but far from dangerous. All that changes when her lifelong friend Coop becomes a suspect in a murder case. The victim? Kinky, the unsavoury owner of The Bingo Barge, a sleazy gambling boat on the Mississippi. The murder weapon? Kinky's own bronzed, lucky bingo marker. Digging for clues to get Coop off the hook unearths X-rated videos, a sweet junkyard pooch, and Mafia goons on the hunt for some supremely valuable nuts. When Shay's sixty-something-year-old friend is kidnapped and held for ransom, it's up to Shay to rescue her without help from the police. But brushing off the beautiful and relentless Detective Bordeaux with sparks flying between them isn't so easy.

Here's the #BookSpinBingo card! First, I put our official numbers (7&9) back in the mix. Then I drew them all out & wrote them down as I went, meaning the official numbers are just mixed into the card with the rest! As you can see, 21-25 are both labeled with their numbers & also as free spaces, so you can use them to match however you wrote your list. To score a bingo, just read books (in any order) that are in any row or column!! MORE INFO ⬇

TheAromaofBooks 1 - I‘m tagging everyone who specifically said they wanted to participate in the Bingo aspect of the challenge, but ANYONE IS WELCOME. So if you posted a #BookSpin list and now you think the Bingo looks fun – just jump right in!! If you actually didn't want to do Bingo & I tagged you, just ignore it - so sorry to bother you! ⬇ 3y
TheAromaofBooks 2 - Remember – NO PRESSURE!!!! If this starts to stress you out, just take that page right out of your journal and pretend it never existed!! This challenge is to encourage you to read, not to make you feel like reading is a chore!!!

3 - FREE SPACES can be filled with any book that is NOT already on your list!! ⬇

TheAromaofBooks 4 & final - As a reminder, only the “official” BookSpin/DoubleSpin numbers will count towards giveaway entries. I don‘t want the giveaway to be stacked against people who aren‘t able to read lots of books each month. So basically there is still a maximum of 2 entries possible per month no matter how many books you read from your list. This bingo card is just for fun & glory! 😁

Thanks for playing & happy reading!!!

Kangaj1 I've been watching for this - I did not get tagged on #bookspinbingo this time for some reason. Thanks for posting! 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Kangaj1 - Sorry about that!! For some reason I just had you marked as #BookSpin but not the bingo part!! I'm glad you found it anyway!! 3y
Reviewsbylola Stuck at a soccer game currently but can‘t wait to get home and fill out my card. 3y
claudiuo Awesome, can't wait to get my card started. (edited) 3y
TheAromaofBooks @Monica5 - Here is October's bingo card!! However, since this part of the challenge is just for fun & glory (no prizes haha) I'm super flexible about it!! So if you've already made your own bingo card or have some other method you want to follow, you are totally welcome to do so!!! 3y
kaysworld1 I think I can get my head around this do you mind if I join I don't want to win anything just read. Xx 3y
TheAromaofBooks @kaysworld1 - Absolutely, anyone can join!! Just make your list of 20 (or 25) books & then arrange them in a bingo card in the order pictured above. If you remember, tag me in your reviews because I love to see what people are reading for the challenge!! Just let me know if you have any questions!! 3y
kaysworld1 @TheAromaofBooks How do you pick the book for the square? Can you do it with less than 20 books I would never read 20 in a month. 3y
TheAromaofBooks @kaysworld1 - You start with a list of 20 books and then match the number book from your list to the space on the board. Many people don't try to read all of the books - they just try to read 5 so they can score a bingo. Another option is that you can have one book take up more than one square. So your list could be something like - “1. Little Women - pg. 1-100; 2. Little Women - pg. 101-200; 3. Black Beauty - pg. 1-100“ or whatever. So reading ⬇ 3y
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) the first half of Little Women would check off one square & then finishing the book would check off the second square. You can divide one book across as many squares as you like. Hopefully this helps, but just let me know if you need more clarification!! 3y
