Free Books for All: The Public Library Movement in Ontario, 1850-1930 | Lorne Bruce

I had no idea that "stuff your kindle" day was a thing (thanks #booktok!) but wanted to pass it along. Basically go to www.romancebookworms.com - pick your preferred retailer (Kindle, Nook, Apple Books, Kobo), and then there are a bunch of free romance books you can download broken into categories (varying levels of ?). A lot of KU crossover, so probs more beneficial if you don't have it, but I did find a few non-KU goodies! Grand total $0 ?

Thanks Macmillan for undoing what you should never have done in the first place. It‘s cruel to abuse those who cannot afford to buy your books and punish the libraries trying to offer free ebooks to patrons. So thank you for recognizing that. It only took a pandemic for you to see it.

After about 15 years of being a member, I just discovered that my local YMCA has what amounts to a Little Free Library in the lounge. Volunteers of the public library stock it, or you can leave books at the front desk. How cool is that!! 😃

What a great email to wake up to! Finally earned my free book from the Penguin Random House Reader Rewards. Now to decide which book to choose...

LibrarianRyan Yeah. I would get as close to that $30 limit as you can. I usually get adult Sci-fi since they are usually $27.99 or-$29.00. I also am for books in hardcover that I can no longer find in my local bookstore.

I'm always complaining that there are never any little free libraries near me and that I only see them on Pinterest and Instagram and today I found out that there is one about 25 steps from my house in front of the Ymca :) I'm overly happy about this :)

Wow! I had an amazing time looking through the warehouse of donated books to find books for one of my schools. I found 171 books for students in grades one through five. I was also able to locate some travel books, novels, and Shakespeare books for me.

Tjackson @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I had the most fun sorting them by grade level and packing them to give to one of my schools. This particular school has about 70% of the population on free and reduced meals and I want to give them as many books as possible. This is around one. 6y

Yes -FREE BOOKS! Just selected over 150 kids books for one of my schools and probably 25 books for me!!! Some used, some new, but all free to the community!!! No limit!!!!

EvieBee I used to watch one of the first booktubers ever and her BookThing hauls back in 2010. She put them on the map for me! Her finds were always awesome. She sadly doesn‘t make videos anymore but Baltimore here I come! 6y

Samplergal I have become picky the last year or so. I will never read those quasi romance things and thrillers. Life is to short to read something that you don‘t enjoy. My first year of the kindle getting all the free stuff taught me that. 6y
