Todays book haul form the LBI Book Store! Love a used book store!
Todays book haul form the LBI Book Store! Love a used book store!
I‘ve not been to a bookshop since mid March. Which is a LOOOOONG time. An indie local to me is open for one pre booked customer at a time. In normal circumstances to have a whole bookshop to yourself is a definition of bliss! But worried it‘s only a 15 minute slot though!

Bookshop.org seems interesting. I'll probably try and use it when I can, but I mostly buy used books. It is nice to have something that will complete with Amazon while trying to benefit the little guy. Hopefully this turns into something great.
Jealous of my daughter who got to visit world's oldest bookshop in Lisbon yesterday
My bookstore sent me this coupon, so this means I‘m obligated to buy a new book, right? 😉😉
We have been planning our year long journey in our RV. Of course, part of that is hitting some great book related attractions. So far we will be spending a week near Gulf Shores Alabama, another week in New Orleans and another week in Austin Texas. Taking any and all suggestions. These will be in January and February will be in New Mexico
Feb 21-23 I‘m booked!
@erinreads I am just wondering if you have sent out the #readersgonnaread book for this month seeing I have not received anything yet.
On a recent visit to Hay-on-Wye this wonderful place was closed 😩. Its the only bookshop in the U.K. specialising in letterpress printed books in collaboration with small press and book binders. But it also does some amazing book related projects - working with non readers, visually impaired readers and global charities. I guess I need to plan a return trip to Hay at some point!
Walking out of the train station when we arrived in Rome and spotted a bookstore...of course we had to stop 🤷🏻♀️📚
Philadelphia-area friends! A friend of mine and his business partner are preparing for the opening of their new independent bookshop this weekend! It is called Reads & Company, located in Phoenixville, PA.
Website is here: https://www.readsandcompany.com/
If you're local, or passing through, be sure to check it out!
Hey lovely Littens,
my mum booked a little trip to Firenze, Italy. 😍😘👍
So my question to you is, do you know any bookshops I should visit???
Maybe you know one @JazzFeathers ???
A chapter and some sustenance before @squirrelbrain and I start the bookshop crawl - complete with spreadsheets! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Countdown to The Bookshop Crawl weekend! I‘m going to be ‘Crawling‘ on Feb 9th some new to me bookshops & some old favourites including Ink@84, House Of Hodge & New Beacon Books in the east before heading into town for London Review, Hatchards & Belgravia Books. If you want to join me at some point drop me a line mitch(dot)k(at)mac(dot)com
I haven't got much reading done this week, because I've had jigsaw fever! Slightly obsessed, it's so satisfying. Except when you realise the box is missing quite a few edges... And this was new out of the box 🤨 Missing edges are better than missing middle pieces though.
Nice one!
Bath is crammed full of amazing Indie bookstores. In serious danger now of missing my train home, but trying to squeeze just one more in!
@scripturient and my bookhaul... Lovely @julesG made us new totes. 😍 @Andrew65 I bought only two books 🤗
My Monday* lunchtime treat: a trip to Kramerbooks.
* yes, I know. It‘s Wednesday. I‘m behind on my posting. I‘m sorry.
Selling off some of our books to #BookBarn in #Niantic, #Connecticut before we move to #Virginia!
I‘ll be back. I used to work at Book Barn. Once a Barner, you never really leave.
So we went to #dollartree and I couldn‘t help myself. #dollartreebookhaul #bookhaul
We also went to Walmart and I saw these two cute #puzzles which will come in handy when I do some #audiopuzzling. One of them was on clearance and the other was $5.97 (regular price), which was very cheap for a puzzle of 1,000 pieces.

1. On the shelf. Lol. 2. To Kill a Mockingbird. 3. Yes. Doesn‘t everyone? 😜4. No. I never have. #onlyReadersUnderstand.
This weekend was, at long last, the grand opening of the new bookstore near me, Bookery. I have lived in this area pretty much my whole life, and I've never had an indie bookstore this close to me. I have to admit, I cried a bit when I was leaving my way through the crowds gathered inside. Can't wait for this place to be my home away from home. ❤️
#GetMovin #ThatsWhatILike - a well stocked bookshop. Hill of Content, Bourke St Melbourne
Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes visit Bredevoort. 😍💖 @cobwebmoth
If anyone is on the fence about ordering from Bookoutlet. Don‘t be I just got 24(3 are not pictured cause they gifts for someone on here) books for $35 that are considered their scratch and dent and only one has a minor flaw the dust jacket on one has a small tear. All the rest are in brand new condition.
Books...books...and more books...what treasure can I find? #februaryreads
Important stuff on the to do list today!! 😎😎😎
So I have a confession. I haven't read anything for days. I don't know what's going on. It's been so busy, I can't seem to focus. I have noticed that once in a while I go through a collecting vs reading stage... hope I can get back into my groove soon. This pic is soooo accurate.
✨I buy most of my books from Book Depository, Barnes and Noble, and sometimes Amazon. 📚😄

@BookishGirl06
Thrift stores. Two of my locals sell paperbacks for $0.50 to $1 each, regardless of whether they're mass market or tpb. One also offers a volume discount (5 for $4).
I borrow far more books than I buy, though. If my library has it in their catalogue, there's a 90% chance I'll wait and get it from them--unless I need to up my haul so I get the volume discount, of course.
#bookishquestionoftheweek @BookishGirl06
I get most of mine from amazon since there aren't really any book stores in my area. #bookishquestionoftheweek
Working my way through this list!
Who am I to argue? 😉😉
I prefer one at a time normally. Maybe if the second one has only short stories in it. #bookishquestionoftheweek
It's only fitting, since I had to work today, right?
Two bookstores in two days!! Both were amazing in different ways. I love old books and am super excited about the ones I found at Brattle today. And I'd never heard of Milan Kundera, but it sounded fantastic. I couldn't resist!!
