This book left me feeling lukewarm. I read as an audiobook and by half in, I was listening with one ear. I didn't care for either of the characters and had to force myself to finish. 2.5 ⭐️ A lot of people raved about this book and the whole series. I don't know if I will read book 2. I have started the tagged. So far it is great, recommend for people who find Hollywood and Joan Didion fascinating. Lots of famous cameos but the root of the story is the Dunne family of 5.

Henry Hamlet's Heart looks like a quick read and is my #doublespin

This is basically pandemic + rapture + zombies. If you liked the movie Zombieland and can stomach a really sheltered teen narrator with less jokes, this might be for you.

Solomon is one of my favorite romance authors, and I really enjoyed her newest book!
I‘ve spent some time in Amsterdam, and this was such a love letter to that city, where Solomon now lives, too.
I didn‘t love the final conflict, even though I knew it was coming, but I did like the second chance romance & the marriage of convenience tropes.
Definitely one I‘d recommend for a spicy romance read!

Leah‘s daughter returns home after being gone for 5 years living on a cultish commune with her batshit father.

I think this book‘s WTF-am-I-reading-page-turn-ability helps to gloss over some of the flaws of this book. Ex: The daughter in this book reads like a 13 year old during a time where she is written to be 18, plotholes, flat writing at times, etc.
