Challenge Accepted
Challenge Accepted: A Finnish Immigrant Response to Industrial America in Michigan's Copper Country | Gary Kaunonen
215 posts | 3 to read
The copper mines of Michigan's Copper Country, in the Upper Peninsula, were active for 150 years, from 1845 until 1995. Many of the mine workers attempted to unionize, in order to obtain better working conditions, wages, and hours. The Michigan miners were unsuccessful in their struggles with mine owners, which came to a climax in the 191314 Copper Country Strike. This nine-month battle between workers represented by the Western Federation of Miners (WFM) and the three major mining companies in the region took a particularly nasty turn on Christmas Eve, 1913, at a party for strikers and their families organized by the WFM. As many as 500 people were in the Italian Benevolent Society hall in Calumet, Michigan, when someone reportedly shouted "fire." There was no fire, but it is estimated that 7379 people, more than 60 of them children, died in the stampede for the exit. Against this dramatic backdrop, Gary Kaunonen tells the story of Finnish immigrants to Copper Country. By examining the written record and material culture of Finnish immigrant proletarians-analyzing buildings, cultural institutions, and publications of the socialist-unionist mediaKaunonen adds a new depth to our understanding of the time and place, the events and a people.

In 2021 I chose 14 hardbacks and 14 paperbacks and managed to read all but 3 or 4 of the paperbacks so am doubling the challenge again. Cheating a little as two of the paperbacks are tiny and some of these meets other challenges. Pulling these off my shelves made some significant holes…the goal is not to immediately fill them back up.

Since I have achieved mostly retired status I should have plenty of time this summer to read these stacks.

TheHeartlandBookFairy Thanks for joining us again. Great stacks, awesome goals 👍 Happy summer, happy Reading! 11mo
janeycanuck The Reading List is on my stack, too! I‘ve heard such good things about it. 11mo

Just spent the last few hours updating both of my #bulletjournals and the 63(!!) #readingchallenges I‘m doing this year! So far I am either up to date (monthly challenges) or finished 13/63 challenges, but I am ahead of schedule on many more! I‘m having such a blast, and can‘t wait to see what the rest of the year brings us! 💥💥 #aestheticallymatched

ju.ca.no Wow that‘s a lot of challenges😱 2y
CaroPi I have 6 challenge and I am crossing my fingers that I really manage to do them 2y

I‘ve completed my four May challenges
#FoodAndLit @Butterfinger @Texreader
#BookSpin #DoubleSpin @TheAromaofBooks
#AAM @Soubhiville

My favorite was the Wham! memoir read by Andrew Ridgeley
I still have one more Woodson that I might squeeze in. It‘ll be a re-read for me...Red at the Bone.

rockpools Yay! Excellent ☺️ 3y
Cinfhen Thanks so much @rockpools ❤️ 3y
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! Always good to check off those goals!! I still have to read my #LMPBC but it's a fluffy one so I think I should be able to get it done next week. 3y
Cinfhen I take every completed book as a small victory @TheAromaofBooks ♥️ 3y
TheAromaofBooks Yes!!! That's part of the reason I've really enjoyed doing the WeeklyForecast/BookReport every week - I absolutely love looking up the picture I posted last week & then checking things off!!! It's incredibly satisfying! 3y

My one challenge for 2019.

It‘s a rainy day and I‘m nestled in doing some 2019 reading challenge prep while my husband and the kiddos are running errands (I think they‘re getting me stocking things—hopefully tiny books?? 😬).

I plan to complete Litsy‘s own #Booked2019, @thereadingwomen challenge, and @annebogel ‘s #mmdchallenge. BUT, I‘m also seriously contemplating doing the #popsugar2019 challenge, as well. What do you guys think? Too much or just enough?

saresmoore @sprainedbrain I‘m still on the fence! 5y
sprainedbrain @saresmoore You probably shouldn‘t ask me... I‘m doing those four. 😂 5y
saresmoore WELL, that means I‘d have a challenge pal 👯‍♀️, so yes, you‘re a terrible influence. 😆😘 5y
See All 48 Comments
Mitch Oh, I love this Tim so dye are..stationary, goal setting, making plans...love it all! 5y
MaGoose It seems to be rather a lot of reading. Depends on how fast you read. I could never do that much because I'm a slow reader. But, if you think you can do it, go for it. 5y
saresmoore @Mitch Aside from reading, this is my favorite thing to do! 5y
saresmoore @MaGoose My reading speed is so dependent on a number of factors, but I think if I doubled up on enough prompts, I could do it. But, you make a very good point—it‘s a LOT of reading. 🤔 5y
Mitch @saresmoore me too! 5y
LauraBeth Do them all! Don‘t forget the Read Harder Challenge! 😁 https://bookriot.com/2018/12/12/2019-read-harder-challenge/ 5y
saresmoore @LauraBeth I think I need you to be my personal trainer/life coach, but I‘m certain that I can‘t afford you! I planned to skip Read Harder because it all looked overwhelming, but... Are you doing all of the challenges, too?? 5y
LauraBeth @saresmoore I say we aim high! We may actually discover that we achieve something completely different (but better) than what we were originally aiming for. 😀 Plus, if we never aim high because we‘re afraid to fail, then we haven‘t realized that failure is actually a part of success. 5y
dylanisreading Well now I know how I'm going to spend my Saturday. I was going to run errands, but since I have the house to myself, and your planning looks lovely, I'm going to spend the day goal setting for next year's reading. I vote you do all! 😁 5y
batsy I'm just looking forward to you sharing your reading lists 🤓 5y
LeahBergen Ooooh, you‘re ambitious! 5y
saresmoore @LauraBeth Amen to that! Okay, I‘ll give it a go! Darn, guess that means I have more planning to do. 5y
valeriegeary I'm doing booked and Anne Bogel's challenge too! Or I'm going to try. I failed booked hard last year so decided to try 2 challenges this year. Obviously that will be easier. 🙃 5y
saresmoore @LeahBergen Yes, ambitious is the word...or drunk on the joy of list-making. 🤪 5y
Kalalalatja Okay, you are motivating me to do more challenges! And since I‘m a bit too hungover to read, I can always plan next year‘s reading 🙌 5y
saresmoore @valeriegeary Ah, yes. Readers‘ logic. 😂 5y
saresmoore @Bianca High five! Errands are so overrated. And I‘m gonna give them all a go! 🤪 5y
saresmoore @Kalalalatja 😂☕️📝 5y
saresmoore Alright, @LauraBeth , I love the Read Harder challenge and I‘m getting all excited about the prompts until I come across: A book written in prison. 😂 I don‘t even know where to begin with research for that! 5y
Cinfhen I can‘t imagine a more perfect day!!! Happy prep work 😘😘 5y
saresmoore @Cinfhen Thank you! It has been exactly what I needed! 5y
bookishdawg Bookish goodness! I took on three challenges last year... fun! 5y
LauraBeth @saresmoore 😂 I got you...will return with some recommendations! 5y
Cinfhen If it‘s prison fiction I read this one and I loved it 5y
saresmoore @LauraBeth Woohoo! Thank you! So many great choices! 5y
andrew61 Sounds like a good idea - I'll look forward to seeing your progress. I had 2 a-z on the go this year and shd finish classics which i have loved but would also like a bit more randomness this year. I haven't done an organised one before, although always fancied the books on nightstand bingo - enjoy your planning 👍 5y
saresmoore @andrew61 Books on the nightstand bingo sounds like an excellent idea! I want to read mostly from what I already own, but I have come across some really intriguing new books in the planning process. 5y
Suet624 Reading about all the challenges you will be attempting makes me anxious. I‘m so glad you have upbeat and positive friends on Litsy because I‘m starting to bite my fingernails on your behalf. 5y
LauraBeth @Suet624 I‘m here to help alleviate anxiety and manage stress! 😀 Challenges will be accompanied by art therapy, writing, exercise, positive self-talk, cat petting and wine. 🎨 📝🏃‍♀️🦋🐈🍷 5y
Suet624 @LauraBeth Yes, your previous comments led me to realize that you are the perfect partner to help manage stress and anxiety. Sara is blessed to have you by her side. 💕 5y
LauraBeth @Suet624 I‘m on the side of Littens like yourself! I want all of the women I see every single day (including you), who might not realize the magic they possess just by being unapologetically themselves - to see it! 5y
Suet624 @LauraBeth Thank you. You are just a big ball of love. 💕 5y
saresmoore @Suet624 @LauraBeth I just love you both so much! 5y
britt_brooke Dang, girl! Reading that stressed me out! 🤯 I‘ve found the only challenges I can do are the number I set in GR and the random goals I come up with myself (i.e. x number of classics, rereads, etc). I have faith in you, though! 5y
saresmoore @britt_brooke I‘m hoping it will feel incredibly rewarding. I have a lot of personal improvement goals for 2019, but I think they‘re all beneficial and attainable...time will tell! 5y
kamoorephoto I have all but two of #popsugar2018 done (mostly because I don't want to do the last two book categories (I'm being stubborn, and I completed my Goodreads goal, so I thought I might do the Litsy seasonal one plus Book Riot read harder instead this year (instead of popsugar). I have bigger fish to fry in terms of my personal world, I guess (didn't manage my move this year 😩), but I can usually conquer reading goals... 5y
saresmoore @kamoorephoto I think there‘s a fine balance to be struck with goals. I want to genuinely work hard at reaching them, but I also have to remember to give myself grace when things don‘t go according to how I‘d thought they would. Best wishes to you in 2019! ♥️ 5y

With a month to go in 2018, I‘m just posting a reminder of the #ReadingUSA2019 challenge I‘m hosting. Set your own goals, but essentially read books either set in each state or by an author from each state (or both). The link to the form appears below. I‘m working on my list of titles!

Beckys_Books That sounds interesting. I'm so tempted even though I've pretty much given up on challenges. I usually only read 50 to 75 books in a year so there wouldn't be room for much else! 5y
Librarybelle @Beckys_Books If it helps, it‘s designed that if you only wanted to read 5 books/states, you can! You set the goals. I just created the form for better tracking. 🙂 5y
IndoorDame I remember seeing this challenge a while back and being really interested, but I can‘t figure out how to tell if I filled out the google form already/how to update my goal if I want to change something 5y
See All 15 Comments
Librarybelle @IndoorDame I‘ll check and see if you had signed up. If you did, you should have received an email with an edit link to go back in and update. I‘ll double check when I have a chance later tonight! 5y
Librarybelle @IndoorDame I sent you an email! Thanks for asking about this! 5y
MirrorMask I just signed up! 5y
Librarybelle Awesome, @MirrorMask ! 😁 5y
jessinikkip I can't wait! I have made a list of the places where my books I own and need to read are set. Going to do a book that takes place in each state. I think I am missing like 7 states. This has me excited and will help me clear my #TBRMountain so its a win-win!! 5y
Kaye Although I had a few years awhile back that I “ Challenged” myself into a slump, I do believe this challenge allows a person enough leeway to read whatever we want to. If it‘s any book, any genre, and I chose the combo author/ state , that could cover pert near any book as long as I hit each state. I‘m gonna give it a go and see what happens. Now my next task is to try to choose as many already owned books as I can so I can kill 2 birds / 1 stone 5y
Kaye Dear Jess , I just signed up on your form but didn‘t fill out any of the book slots yet. Is that ok ? I‘d like to pick them as I go. Than do we make out our own form or do we track them in here somehow also ? PS —- I forgot to ask if the signups are over ! 😳 5y
Librarybelle @kaye Awesome! I wanted to make things as easy as possible and as flexible as possible for everyone. You should receive a copy of the form in your email from signing up...that will allow you to go back into that form to add titles throughout the year. Signups are still open - they‘re open all next year too! 5y
Kaye Sounds great 👍🏼. Thank you. You will have lots of fun watching all those books roll in from every state ! I‘ll do my best with it. ( I can pick true crime , so that‘ll make it easier too ) 😮 5y
Librarybelle @kaye 😁❤️ 5y

I just signed up for my first challenge for 2019! Is anyone else doing this one? It‘s books set in, or authors from, all states in the US....

Thanks @Librarybelle for organising - i‘m so excited! Now got to figure out which books I *shouldn‘t* be reading this year, just in case!

Librarybelle Yay...thanks for signing up! I still have to plan out my books for the challenge. 5y
Cathythoughts Sounds good ! 5y
squirrelbrain @Librarybelle I usually half-plan and half-wing it! I‘ve been through the helpful lists that you posted though, and I have about 5 books already on my TBR shelf, so that‘s quite useful.... I think I might put them to one side ready for January.... 5y

The #ReadingUSA2019 challenge form is now open! This is a laid-back challenge, where you can read books set in each state, by an author from each state, a combination of both, or complete both. It‘s entirely up to you. Use the form as your way to keep track. Sorry - I could not turn off the recaptcha option, so you‘ll have to verify you‘re a human!

I‘m tagging those who expressed interest!

Cinfhen Ive been sooooo negligent😢😢😢Three ARCs expired and now I can‘t pull them up on my device 6y
Jen_Reads Thanks for the tag! I think all my arcs leave my device by the 20th so the dates are perfect! 6y
Clwojick @Cinfhen @Jen_Reads how do you know when they expire? I have them downloaded on my phone and I haven‘t had any expire on me yet. 6y
Jen_Reads @Clwojick I use the Bluefire app and when I check book info it tells me. I just checked one and it expires on the 3rd so I need to get cracking and read. 6y
Cinfhen Exactly! I use BlueFire as well @Jen_Reads 6y
Jen_Reads @Cinfhen I have to use that as my main platform because I hate how books are set up on the kindle app. 6y
Clwojick @Jen_Reads @Cinfhen I mostly use Kindle, because I like that it‘s a one click download.. and I wasn‘t able to find any info or expiration date. I looked on NetGalleys help site, and if I understand correctly.. they don‘t expire if you use kindle. 6y
DarcysMom Form is filled out - thanks for putting this together! I am excited! 6y
Cinfhen That‘s good to know @Clwojick I‘ll have to see about downloading through Kindle since I currently don‘t own a Kindle😬I‘m gonna try to join in...I will check out the form....thanks for the motivation 6y
julesG No expiry date on Kindle. You could read the ARCs in ten years. 😁 @Cinfhen 6y
Cinfhen Wow @julesG that‘s really a game changer @Jen_Reads 6y
JazzFeathers I use a Kobo and some expire, some don't. But better this way or l would read even less of them. 6y
Graciouswarriorprincess I am signing up as my #Netgalley is about 40 Books! 6y
julesG @Cinfhen The books remain in the Kindle Cloud, even after I deleted them from my device. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I could re-download an old ARC from my cloud to my Kindle. 6y
julesG @Graciouswarriorprincess I was just approved for another 25. Luckily a lot of them were picture books or DIY/Craft books, they are a quick read. 6y
Clwojick Same! @julesG I had requested a bunch back in March when I signed up, and they just approved them now... along with a bunch I recently requested. I was approved for more than 50 in less than a week. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️😬 I‘m hoping I‘ve learned my lesson lol. No more MASS requesting. Lol. I just assumed I would get denied and I didnt lol 6y
Cinfhen OMG! Since Friday I lost another 2! I only have 2 left...I haven‘t been requesting because I was so backlogged. OY 😭😭😭 @julesG @jen _reads @Clwojick 6y
julesG @Clwojick You never know how many books make it onto your shelf. I remember starting with 10 requests followed by 10 denials. So I went big and suddenly had to juggle 20+ approved ARCs. 6y
Cinfhen And I have to read them before April 28..... 6y
julesG @Cinfhen High time to have them sent to your kindle! And, of course, to request some more. 6y
Clwojick @julesG yeah the kindle app on my iPhone works just as good as the Bluefire app. I use them both, but I‘m definitely loving the no expiration date with the kindle app. 😅 6y
robinb @julesG That happened to me as well...careful what you ask for, right?! 😳😂 I also have all on my Kindle as well. (edited) 6y

Chellebearss I‘ll join in if I get approved for the ones I‘ve asked for. Right now I have zero waiting for me 😮 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m in! I have eleven on deck, so the timing is great! (It‘d always be great.) 👏🏻👏🏻 6y
DreesReads Thank you! I joined netgalley last week after finally getting a kindle. Hoping to finish at least 1 before this events starts! I definitely requested too many right out of the gate 😂 6y
Clwojick @AudreyMorris Glad you see you‘re joining us! I did the same thing. I joined in March and I‘ve already been approved for 225, and I have over 115 to read and review 😬😱👏🤦🏻‍♀️ I honestly can‘t help myself... I request more everyday. 😂 6y
DreesReads @Clwojick I only have 6 I‘ve been approved for—1 done, 1 is a craft book. But most of my reading is 1001 list books!! 6y
Clwojick @AudreyMorris I read all genres for the most part... with the exception of sci-fi, dystopian, and westerns. So it‘s easy to MASS request books. I‘ve found I‘m a huge fan of the digital cookbooks and craft/hobby books on NetGalley as well. 6y
DreesReads I‘m picky but I love dystopias! 6y
Clwojick @Syndelle777 here‘s the form. ♥️📚📖 (edited) 6y

The challenge, should I choose to accept it, is to complete five books in less than 48 hours for the #Booked2018 challenge. I‘m nearly done with The Boys in the Boat and started The Handmaid‘s Tale. I know, no pressure, but I can‘t think of anything else I would rather do on the next couple dreary days.

Here I go...wish me luck! 😉

TheWordJar Just keep reading....just keep reading... 🐠🐠🐠 6y
alisiakae Good luck!! You know, if you don‘t finish it by the end of the month, it can still count for the next season. 😃 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Wowza! Or like Alisia said, the completed prompts still count towards the giveaway for next season. Have fun! 6y

Making progress on my #LitsyByTheNumbers challenge. Starting #4 today. #lbtn #four #litsybythenumbers4 #lbtn4

GarthRanzz Okay, I may have to do this challenge along with the #LitsyAtoZ one. Especially since I just started a book with One in the title. 😊 6y
Chelleo @GarthRanzz the reason I created this is because I was doing #litsyatoz and kept coming across numbered titles!! It‘s an easy challenge to do in conjunction with other challenges. 6y
GarthRanzz Well definitely count me in! 6y

This is my link to #Booked2018 in case I lose track of the prompts...

I‘d love to do #AussiesRule2018 too, but I don‘t have the brain space for another challenge on top of the ones I‘m already in. So I may half-ass it, which will still educate me more about Australia, which is what I want. Still a win. https://doddyaboutbooks.com/2017/12/31/the-aussies-rule-reading-challenge-2018/

Sue Yay, I hope you enjoy whatever you manage to complete for the Aussies Rule Challenge! You would certainly oh be able to use some books for multiple challenges, and I‘ll be posting helpful suggestions for each of my prompts every week or so 😊 6y

12 books ahead of schedule?!? Thanks to #letsgetgraphicweeklongmarathon It looks like I need to increase my goal to accommodate the graphic novels I can breeze through!

ashimilie I would usually add 1/2 book for every graphic novel or comic book I read, to my overall goal! 6y
Reviewsbylola Amazing! 🎉🎉 6y

When I couldn‘t sleep last night, I decided to create my own reading prompt challenge. And since I want to make things do-able if anyone decides to join me, I made my own crazy swap out rule. To also make it more likely for people to play along with me, I‘ve decided that Jan. 1, 2019 I will randomly choose one person who has completed the challenge and send them a bookish surprise box. To sign up, just tag me in a post. #1amonthchallenge

RebelReader I'm gonna add this one to my challenge spreadsheet. I'm a bit of a sucker for these challenges. I love picking the books, keeping track and of course reading the books! 😂😂 6y
tomes4gnomes I like it! Especially prompt 8, which seems to give me permission to buy a brand new release hardback (something I rarely let myself do). Count me in! (edited) 6y

#ReadingResolutions #LitsyChallenges

On our way home (UK)!!!

So, besides the loose #MountTBRchallenge I‘m “leading” I‘m doing #LPMBC through February, #Litsypassport with 4 books, the #poetrychallenge2018 and a couple of #buddyReads. I think that‘s enough.

I may try to do the #LitsyAtoZ because I nearly made it without even trying last year (I checked my books read and using only authors names checked off 20 letters!)!!

Litsy challenges being fairly new to litsy myself I'm going to observe & take in how the challenges work. Some look self explanitory some i need to see more of. I love 📷 challenges had a blast last month paticipating with @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks & @bookloo got me hooked on em. I will continue with thier #newyearreads and I've added on 2 more #readingresolutions & #quotsy #quotsyjan18
#litsychallenges @Jess7 #readingresolutions

Jess7 Mine is just a photo challenge too. I‘ve been hosting monthly photo challenges for a while now. Just post photos of books or bookish items that you think fit the daily prompts, use the hashtag and most importantly have fun! 🤗🤗🤗 #ReadingResolutions (edited) 6y

I hated seeing my goodreads challenge empty, so I had to quickly read something short to get it going! 😉 My favorite thing about setting it at 100 books is that each book = 1%!

As for my other #litsychallenges, I'm doing poetrychallenge2018, readaroundtheworld, mounttbrchallenge, and yearofthechunkster, with some dabbling all 'round. I'm eliminating the hashtags right now bc all these challenges lists are clogging up the hashtag feeds! 😆

Mollyanna I totally get that! I am trying to finish my first book for just that same reason. 6y

I‘ve challenged myself to read 45 books this year. That‘s ten more than my challenge last year and six more than I actually read last year. I‘m not doing any other reading challenges because I need less structure/stress in my life, not more. Unless you count #whodunitbymail. That‘s just fun, not stress though.

I‘m not sure whether to follow my local seasons (here in Aus it‘s high summer) Of follow the challenges timeline instead. I mean, the prompts and challenges will be based on Northern Hemisphere seasons wont they? What do you guys think 🤔 #Booked2018 #LitsyHappenings #ReadingChallenges #SeasonsGreetings

Natasha.C.Barnes Well...the book prompts listed don't really seem to be seasonal at all? I think maybe it's just seasonal because you don't have to participate for the whole year? Im not sure...Im splitting my Mount TBR books I own into seasons by feeling or subject. I'd prefer to read with your local seasons I think! 6y
Dogearedcopy I actually don't see anything that's seasonal amongst the topics except perhaps the beach read in the July-September block, so I would just go with the challenge timeline. Even with the beach topic, there are stories that have scenes set on sandy shores that aren't Summer a la the Northern Hemisphere. 'The Secret Scriptures' by Sebastien Barry might work... 6y
drokka I'm not actually following the seasons at all, just using the prompts to broaden my reading choices, which also works to knocking some off my TBR. 6y
See All 6 Comments
Cinfhen Read however you like!! Every book read, no matter which season it falls under, earns you a chance in the quarterly giveaway!!! Important part is to have fun 😊 6y
CarolynM I know what you mean @Lizpixie but I decided to just go with the prompts and not really think of it as seasonal at all. I think @drokka has the right idea! 6y
Lizpixie @Natasha.C.Barnes @Dogearedcopy @drokka @Cinfhen @CarolynM Thanks for your advice guys, I‘m going to just follow the challenge prompts, that way there‘s no confusion and I‘ll be reading along with everyone💕 6y

Cinfhen Nice list❣️I'm reading a Handmaids Tale for #feministclassic still working on #unconventionalromance 6y
Cinfhen Although do you think Salt to the Sea qualifies?? Since I see a romance blossoming under "unconventional" circumstance 6y
ElishaLovesBooks Oooh! @Cinfhen I‘ve been wanting to reread Handmaids Tale- that‘s a great idea for #feministclassic I have no ideas for unconventional romance. I‘ll check goodreads today I hope 6y

So this year I came up with my own challenge! I‘m calling it #BigBooks2018 because it‘s focused on the “big books” that can be tough to tackle: nonfiction, history, philosophy, social theory, and classics. It‘s quality over quantity. I would love love love to have some people join me in this! I customized it a bit for myself & of course others could do the same. #2018readinggoals #2018challenge #bookresolutions #readingresolutions #bujo

tif Not sure I am stretch myself to a fifth reading challenge as well as my two IRL book clubs! It's a great list though! I'm always trying to push myself to read more challenging books 6y

My new year challenge! It‘s nowhere near as many as some of you guys, I think I must be a super slow reader. I wish I could get a few books read in a week 😩 Happy New Year everyone, and good luck with your challenges! #readingchallenge

Librariana Aww! No need to feel bad about your reading pace or to put down your very commendable goal! 50 is an excellent amount! I went the conservative route with 36 since my husband and I are anticipating major life changes in the next few months - house and job hunting as well as a possible move! 6y
BeckyK @Librariana Thank you 😊 That sounds like a busy and exciting 2018!! 6y
GypsyKat Never feel bad about the amount you read! And don‘t compare yourself to others, only ever strive to be a better YOU than yesterday. Everyone us different, and everyone‘s situation is different! 50 books is still a highly respectable number! Good luck with your challenge, you got this! 💪💗😊 6y

BeckyK @GypsyKat Awww thank you 😊 you‘re right!! 6y
CocoReads Everyone reads at a different pace and things can definitely throw that off. As long as you‘re enjoying it, that‘s what matters! Some weeks I struggle to get one book read, other weeks I read 2 or 3. The journey is what matters. 6y
BeckyK @CocoReads Very true! Thank you 😊 6y
TheBookAddict It‘s ok, mine isn‘t up there either. Sometimes life just happens. I think that all that matters is that you enjoy what you‘re reading and that you have fun. Quality over quantity is my motto with these challenges. 😊 wishing you a happy 2018 full of good books, good health, and many wonderful moments. 6y
BeckyK @TheBookAddict So true, thank you! Such kind words! Happy New Year 😊🎉🎉 6y
