Finally ready to concede to my final Goodreads total of 138/100 🤭 The pages read don‘t mean anything because of how pages tend to register for audiobooks, though.

100 tends to be my default for goodreads but I am going to try to make more specific reading goals that I can hopefully stick to. I am moving next year and would like to focus more on my physical books and will likely be looking to rehome some of those before moving. 👀

I've passed 1000 logged reads on Goodreads! I've been a little nostalgic lately, wishing there were a way to look back at some of the books I read growing up. I've searched once or twice for Reading Olympic lists from the late 90's, but no luck.
Everyone once in a while, I'll get a flash of memory, but I think most of them will be lost to time.

Not too shabby considering we moved to Alaska this year 😁 I also undervalue my reads sometimes: Lois Lowry's Giver quarter I counted as one book, the Batman Knightfall saga I only counted as the three omnibuses, etc. On to 2024!

The level of anxiety I reach when I can't access my book apps (be it Goodreads or even Litsy on occasion) is WILD. Like when I couldn't log a book I finished *the second* I finished it yesterday I started to sweat because my routine was out of whack.

It was a great year for reading. I didn‘t expect to make it to 500 books again with my new job but my panel pushed me to keep going and awesome books kept me up to speed. Looking forward to another year of great books!

I don't know why I made such a high reading goal for 2022. I had to really crank up my reading this week to complete this. Got it completed with just a few hours to spare. Now it is time to party. Happy New Year!!! 🎊🍾

My goodreads reading challenge is officially done! It‘s always very exciting to mark a book read on goodreads and see the challenge complete!

I always read a lot in December for #wintergames so we‘ll see how far over the top it pushes me

Moving and disrupting my whole entire life earlier this year reduced my goal from my usual 200, but by golly I made it!

And then this happened today! Yay! My next goal is to reach the same amount of books (186!!) I read last year, the year of staying at home 🦠

Yesterday, I discovered my #Goodreads account got hacked. I think the hacker/bot just liked a bunch of stranger‘s updates & posted a malicious link to my profile. I deleted what I found & changed my password. Apparently this is becoming really common- some people think hackers are trying to find a back door into people‘s Amazon accounts/credit cards since you can link Goodreads & Amazon. So heads up to keep a close eye on your account!

I officially deleted my Goodreads account. I haven‘t used it for the longest time, plus I have a StoryGraph account, which I find is much better. And I also can‘t believe Amazon had to buy Goodreads! Like, why do you have to be a real life version of Monopoly, Amazon?!

With 2 jobs I don‘t want to get overly ambitious. I did increase my goal by 5 though for this year. This is the only challenge that I do besides the ever present challenge to read more authors of color and women particularly women of color. This year I want to make an effort to read more indigenous female authors if you have suggestions I would be appreciative.

Anyone else noticing weird things about goodreads? I went to update my progress in a book and it showed 37% but when I checked on it later it said 0% like I hadn‘t just updated it

😂. I am perfectly okay with this because I am in the middle of six books atm and if I stop 🛑 picking 700-800 page books I may fly higher. Should I opt out of Middlemarch? Probably not. It‘s a classic. Plus I started late. Ok?

I don‘t have hardcore stats all the way back, but there‘s a clear delineation where I was introduced to the joy of audiobooks in 2016. 😂

Only 1 more book to go! I really need to stop doubting myself with my goals.

I have 31 days (I could finish something today)to read 10 books to reach my goal for the year. In the last 10-12 weeks I‘ve finished 3 physical books and 1 audio. Damn work getting in the way of my reading! Voting for the #GoodreadsChoiceAwards is open now. I‘m disappointed again by the nominated books. They are so middle of the road, so predictable and uninspired. I know it‘s based on added and reviewed books on the platform itself, so I shouldn‘t be surprised, yet I do think these Awards do add nothing to what we already know without voting. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

It is the 15th day of 2019 and I am at 6 books read. Just under 1 every 2 days. Not too bad.

And since I finished my first book today, I set my GR challenge number....137...it just seemed the right amount of zany for this year. 😂

I am sticking with my goal of 75. I far surpassed the 75 this year but you never know what the year will bring and 75 seems like a reasonable number for me.

530%!! Awesome for a new mother indeed!!! I didn‘t think I could make it, but I did! Yay me!!!

My reading stats for 2018. I'm disappointed in myself. Two years ago I read three fewer books (103) but my page count was nearly 2,700 higher. I wish Goodreads would let us set page count goals instead of book totals. Even when I set a low goal (this year it was 52) I always get distracted when the total gets closer to 100 and start reaching for the short books.

Final tally: 66 fiction, 40 nonfiction

This happened yesterday, and I forgot to share!

My excuse is that I‘ve fallen into The Mysteries of Udolpho on audio and can‘t stop listening. 😳

On the plus side, I am a good multitasker and while listening for hours on end, I have also been working (obsessively) on modifying a totally nerdy reading tracker spreadsheet to use for 2019. I‘m so excited about it, it‘s almost embarrassing. 😂

Well, I‘m proud of how much I‘ve read this year! This is the most I‘ve ever read. I‘m sitting at 72 books and I‘m hoping to finish another 2. We will see. I‘m thankful for Litsy because without all of you I‘d only be reading 10-20 books and wouldn‘t be pushed to do more! 🤗 I‘m excited to see what I can do for next year!

Ill hop on the "goodreads year in review train." I set a high goal for myself of 75, and although I'm not going to make it, I've already doubled my read, and then some, from last year. I plan on finishing off with 60 for thr year, and I think that's an accomplishment. *side note* I do need to know how some of yall read over 100 books. It was witchcraft, wasnt it?

I knew I wasn‘t crazy! My reading summary did NOT update! I just finished a book and my challenge updated but the summary didn‘t. 😕

This is my year with 3 weeks left -although with all the shopping etc I might not get much more reading in! #goodreads #2018

I‘m not done reading yet!! Why can‘t Goodreads send this out on January 1st?!? I guess that makes too much sense. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, 5 books to go until I hit my #ReadingChallenge goal. I‘ve got 21 days to go, I got this!!
