My May #bookspin list. Every month I feel list making time sneaks up on me! This month I kept everything on my list that I didn‘t get to in April and just filled in the empty spaces made by those I did read. Looking forward to the drawing @TheAromaofBooks !

I had a good 📚 week!
Finished The Tenth Muse, The Birds, Get It Right!, Birthday, How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House, and Opioid Indiana.

I‘m still reading The Crimson Petal and the White, and I just started both Idaho and The Girls at 17 Swann St. I‘m hoping for some reading time this weekend. 😊 Getting really close to Bingo!

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! Fabulous progress!!! 4y
Cinfhen Woohoo!!! How was this one?? I‘m hooked just from the title 4y
Soubhiville @Cinfhen it‘s beautifully written, and the audiobook has great narration with a lilting island accent (takes place in Barbados.). But it‘s tragedy filled, very sad. I thought it was excellent. 4y

@TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! I posted the numbers/bingo board today, so just let me know if you can't find them or if you have any questions!! Tag me in your reviews!! 4y
bibliobliss @TheAromaofBooks Thank you ❤️ My only questions so far: (1) #bookspin is 14, and #doublespin is 9 this month?? (2) do I tag you in every update post or just reviews? 4y
TheAromaofBooks You're correct on the drawn numbers, & tagging me is up to you!! I always enjoy reading everyone's posts. You'll definitely want to tag me when you review the two official books so that I can check off your giveaway entries. Beyond that, you can tag me as often or little as you like!! 4y
See All 12 Comments
bibliobliss @TheAromaofBooks Ok, thank you. I didn't know about giveaway entries! Icing on the cake 😁 I'll tag you especially for the official books!! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Yes, I do a giveaway at the end of the year & each BookSpin/DoubleSpin book is worth one entry!! To keep the giveaway from being stacked against people who can't/don't want to read lots of books, I limit the entries to just the two “official“ numbers each month. Last year I randomly chose five entries to get a free book!! 4y
bibliobliss @TheAromaofBooks Awesome. Thanks!! 4y
jb72 Great list! Several are on my TBR list too. 4y
bibliobliss @jb72 Ooh yeah?! 4y
jb72 @bibliobliss I‘m on hold at the library for Blackout by Owens (#53). And I‘ve been wanting to read The Exorcist for a while but I am thinking I may hold some of my creepier books for October. 👻 4y
bibliobliss @jb72 Blackout is good, bout halfway through. The Exorcist is hard to read, even as fiction, it's just a bunch of WTF moments and 😳😱 good writing though!! Lol 4y
jb72 @bibliobliss Good to know. Wtf moments keep you on your toes. 4y
bibliobliss @jb72 Yes they do. I've had to literally close the book bc I've been overwhelmed 4y

I don‘t expect to finish anything else by tomorrow, so here‘s my March #bookspin and #bookspinbingo list. It includes several bookclub reads and lots of books for #readingthestates. I‘m looking forward to the spin on the 2nd!

I‘m making October‘s #bookspin into #ChunksterBookspin. 😁👍📚

I‘ve surpassed my reading goals for the year by quite a lot, so it‘s a good time to dig into some long books. These aren‘t all over 500 pages (that‘s what qualifies a chunkster for me), but they‘re mostly close and among the longest books on my TBR shelves.

I‘ll definitely read my #Bookspin and #Doublespin. Can I get a #bookspinbingo? I guess we‘ll see!

TheAromaofBooks Oh wow, that sounds challenging!!! Good luck!! 4y

Here it is, gang, the moment you have all been waiting for!! Our lucky numbers is TWENTY!!!!

I am SO THRILLER that 124 people posted lists this month!! How fun is that?! I LOVE seeing everyone's lists and can't wait to read your reviews! This challenge has been completely detrimental to my own TBR 😂

Just a few housekeeping items, so if you could please indulge me by reading my absurdly long post (I'm a rambler, what I can I say) -

TheAromaofBooks 1. I am hoping to have a giveaway at the end of the year. Entries are reviews of #BookSpin books, but I will only know about them if you tag me, so please tag me whenever you read & review your book for the month. DNFs count! The goal for #BookSpin is to get a book off your TBR, so if you decide not to finish it, it's still off the list, so tag me & tell me why you bailed.
5y
TheAromaofBooks 2. Several people expressed interest in reading two books from their list this month. I know that's not for everyone & I don't want anyone to feel pressured to read two books, but the next post will be the #DoubleSpin number. If you want to read a second book, go for it! If you tag me with your #DoubleSpin review, that will also count for an entry for the giveaway.
5y
TheAromaofBooks 3 (and final) I am tagging everyone who posted a list, so if you posted a list & you do not get tagged here, please let me know! It means I either accidentally missed your original #BookSpin post OR I wrote down your username wrong. Either way, I'm really sorry. Everyone is welcome to join this challenge, so if I missed you it was entirely by mistake - just let me know!! (edited) 5y

Clare-Dragonfly I admit I only picked up this book because the title reminds me of We Have Always Lived in the Castle, but I also hear good things! 5y
Kathy1212 Awesome! Mine has been on my TBR for a long time! 5y
TheAromaofBooks @Lesanne - This is a super chill challenge to encourage people to read a book from the backlog!! All you have to do is post a list of 20 books sometime in the last week of the month, then on the 2nd of each month I draw two random numbers & you read one or both of those books from your list! You are still welcome to join this month - feel free to just count off 20 books on a random shelf or whatever!! I'll add you to the tag list for April!! 5y
TheAromaofBooks @BookJunkie57 - Sooo sorry I missed you!! I added you to the list and I'll be on the lookout for your review!! 5y
ShananigansReads @TheAromaofBooks no worries. It‘s a big task and you‘re doing a great job. 5y
bookandbedandtea I see above that you tried to tag me but you left out the first "and" in my name. The list of people who are playing has gotten huge (you obviously had a wonderful idea!) so keeping track of everyone's names must be a challenge. Thanks for doing this! I'm excited for my read this month: 5y
TheAromaofBooks @bookandbedandtea - So the funniest part about this is that when I was typing it in I thought to myself, “I really thought this username had two 'ands' but I only wrote down one so here we are!“ 😂 Losing my mind as usual! Anyway, thanks for your understanding!! It is a smidge crazy but luckily not a lot on the line if I mess things up haha 5y
Lesanne @TheAromaofBooks Gosh, thanks so much!! I‘ll just wait until next month, it‘ll take me that long to get organized!! 😜Looking forward to it! 5y

TReads And the winner of my first ever #Bookspin is ... "What Amanda Wants", the next instalment in Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street series, which I started in 2011. I suspect the desire to learn how to knit won't be far behind. ;) Thanks so much for hosting this awesome challenge, Sarah (@TheAromaofBooks)!!! 5y
LeticiaToraci My #Bookspin #20 is Wicked Saints! Exactly the book we were talking about. 5y
Lizpixie I wasn‘t tagged here but that may be coz I haven‘t posted a new list for March, I‘m using the original one from a month ago. I still have to finish A Moveable Feast by Hemingway for Feb, last month was a complete write off for me health wise. So this month is Hemingway plus my new #20 spin book of 5y
Melismatic Well, we‘re just getting through all the thicc ones on my #TBR, aren‘t we? My #20 is: 5y
MemoirsForMe Woo Hoo! Thanks for inviting us to play. I feel like I hit the lottery. It‘s not Wodehouse yet, but it‘s still a winner. I‘ll be posting my lucky #20 shortly. 😁🙌🏻🎰 5y
TheAromaofBooks @Lizpixie - Sorry I missed you!! I did only tag people who had posted lists - I'm always paranoid that I'm going to hassle people with unwanted tagging haha But I'll be on the lookout for your reivew!! And I may have told you already, but you're totally welcome to tag me whenever you read your Feb book & just let me know it's from Feb!! 5y
TheAromaofBooks @LeticiaToraci - that's so funny!! I'll look forward to hearing what you think. I haven't read it yet since my guess is that her writing is a bit on the darker side for me, but I've heard good things about it! 5y
TheAromaofBooks @Prairiegirl_reading - so sorry I missed you!! You weren't the only one haha I'm not sure why you weren't on my list!! I'll be on the lookout for your review - thanks for joining!! 5y
