Apparently this is a debate I never thought about!!

Where do you put your bookmark?
It appears that some people place the bookmark on the last page they read, others (me!) put the mark on the next page to read.

For example here I would place the bookmark on the page where the next chapter begins so I do not reread where I am finished, and do not need to open then turn the page to begin reading again.

Where does it go? 🛑📑📚

Book friends are best friends 🥰 This was a fun gift given to me by my Literary Hoarder partner. Her daughter said it‘s perfect- I could measure with it, stencil, mark my place in a book with it. 🤣

Decided to decorate the back of one of my Christmas cards with some stickers and use it as a bookmark!

Hi #SummerBookmarkSwap buddies! I know I‘m a few days late, but I thought I‘d share a little about me. I‘m really not at all picky. I seem to have a lot of beachy, nautical, mermaidy bookmarks at the moment, because I love the ocean and summer. My favorite color is glitter, and my all time favorite bookmark was a glitter gift tag (it left my books all sparkly!). My only request is ⬇️

My 6 year old son designed these bookmarks for me 🥺🥰
They feature some of my favorite things
books, flowers, butterflies (we created a pollinator garden last summer 🦋 ♥️), hot tea and coffee.
But the funniest is the brown squiggles. Those represent heat because I‘m always cold and love the heat 😂 according to Leo. And he‘s not wrong. 🥶

A friend gifted me three magnetic bookmarks, all romance themed. 😁❤️

Look what I received in the mail today so excited to start using this 🥰📖🤨…😳 I just noticed a typo 🤨🤗

When you casually turn your bookmark over with the turn of the page it was resting on and realize that it has a quote on the back. Which you (meaning me) didn‘t notice for over a week. (I‘m blaming it on burnout brain. 🤪)

I love that you sent me some local ones and they are all wonderful (especially the Strand ones of course) but, like you, my favourite is the Connecticut lighthouses one- it‘s just adorable!

Now I need to read books set in the state so I can match my bookmark to my book; any recommendations anyone?!

I forgot to post my #storage picture yesterday! It‘s the cat‘s fault! I had to reinforce the barrier system that kept him from getting under my bed, and that led to a minor bookshelf overhaul…

Anyway, most of them “live” in either this little glass jar or the wooden box. An astonishing number are in partially read books on the shelves. I also keep two or three small ones in my purse in case of a bookmark emergency.

Saw these on a Facebook group- not on Amazon- and thought they were lovely. They are double sided so space to write in 64 books to track your reading journey. They are all hand illustrated. Very cute.
