So I've been very distracted/sick lately for very shocking and happy reasons! #pregnant
We're so happy, but I feel like absolute shit lol 😆 😅

We're so happy, but I feel like absolute shit lol 😆 😅
My last post was really sad (thank you for your condolences for my family), & I'm trying to pull myself out of a depressive episode. This post is a happy post! Today is my grandson's due date, but he's still happy in the womb for now. The doctor scheduled an induction, but doesn't think we will make it to then! Exciting for me! Instead of "Grandma" I'm going to be called "Lyly". ???
7-26-23: My daughter and her partner made their official announcement today. Now I can speak freely about the Grandmom status!! 💖🎉
Now that they've announced publicly, I can share that I'M GONNA BE A GRANDMA! I'm so excited for them and can't wait to meet my grandchild!
It‘s been 4 months since I‘ve posted, but I am so excited for the contrast between this post and my last post!
Excited to celebrate our rainbow babies this weekend! #HappyMothersDay
Does anyone have any suggestions on pregnancy books OTHER than What to Expect? I‘m more than a little overwhelmed so far lol.
Thanks, @Hestapleton for hosting #feastmode. Also just my husband and I (+ Hank and baby to be) this year, so I hope to catch up on reading not only baby books but fun, trashy books too during break from work. My goal is 400 pages.
More baby info 😊
Relaxing on a family getaway with a good book and a fire almost built 😊
This book doesn‘t say anything about baking a lot in your 7th month, but I can‘t seem to stop 🙃
Maybe shouldn‘t have done baby research right before bed, because now my brain won‘t stop worrying and overthinking 😬 and Gus wants to help but doesn‘t know how ❤️
The closer I get to my due date the more reading and researching helps come my anxiety 😊 30 weeks today, wow time flies 😊 pic isn‘t pregnancy related I just love my dog Gus ❤️
Maternity clothes 😊 I‘ve never been a big clothes shopper but I‘m having a lot of fun ordering a few things online here and there. I don‘t want to spend too much but it‘s nice to have a few pregnancy specific outfits 😊 and boyfriends clothes, mostly fit comfortably in a pinch 😉
Pregnancy brain is a real thing 😊 I always thought it was a myth, but I was wrong all along 😳
Gus never leaves my side ❤️
More pregnancy reading 🙂
I‘m really enjoying this one so far 😊 lots of information and many notes being taken 😊 baby/pregnancy research is fun 😊
More pregnancy reading 🤰I like to do this before work in the morning (if I wake up early enough😉) so I can do more reading after work 😊
I saw this on Facebook tonight and the longer I look at it the worse it gets. I have so many questions. 😂
I haven‘t been on here in a while because I‘ve been busily reading this book and growing a new little person! Our baby girl is arriving in October 💕👶🏻🎀
Happy Easter everyone! 🙏💙 I‘m still around—I‘ve just been really busy with work, morning sickness, and house hunting. I‘ve also been reading mostly pregnancy related books lately..
I haven‘t been very active the past couple of months and this is the reason! We are due in mid October!!!
I haven't been on Litsy much lately, but I wanted to share a little bit of excitement! I'm growing my third mini- bookworm, due in October! This little one is kicking my butt, and looking at screens for more than a minute or two makes me super nauseous, which is why I've been fairly MIA compared to my usual 😩 (my husband is convinced it's because this one is a girl).
#raisingreaders (soon to be x3!)
Kicking off the #90sSpringFling with my 90‘s look 🤰🏼Tagged Book was my 90‘s Bible. Spent most of the 90‘s either trying to get pregnant or being pregnant. Couldn‘t find many pictures of me...but tons of my kiddies. Can‘t wait to see how ya‘ll rocked the 90‘s🤩😍😊
Let the highlighting, tabbing and dogearing begin!! 33.5 weeks until go time. 🤰💕 #pregnancyreads
Super boring but truly helpful at the same time. Now off to read something more fun! I was starting to wonder which would come first, my baby or the end of the book.
I‘m still unsure how much I like this book, but it‘s useful. I never read more than a month ahead and it is helpful in knowing a bit what to expect coming up, but some of the information also feels a bit antiquated even though this is a revised edition. Overall it‘s still a good launching point each month.
I am struggling to not read ahead even though they tell you not to so badly!! I‘m going to need more books. Also does anyone struggle when they can‘t put a book on Goodreads yet?? I‘m so afraid my pregnancy brain will forget once the time comes like I‘ve forgotten about 1/3 of everything lately. Thank goodness for Siri setting me constant reminders when I ask.
Might a little unimaginative for #BookishPregnant but, this is the single most helpful book that I ever read! I gifted it to all my friends and family members back in the day of our collective first pregnancies and highly recommend to this day (24yrs later)!

Sooo this is what I‘ve actually been up to lately! 15 weeks today, and y‘all are some of the first to know hah. I‘m finally getting over that sinus infection and the morning sickness (and utter exhaustion) is starting to pass so hopefully I‘ll stop being such a Debbie downer. (Pic from 9 week scan)
Nina decided to make a grand entrance into the world today! She waited until her daddy was sick with influenza A, so he hasn‘t been able to meet her yet, and she was born during what was supposed to be our baby shower at work (I‘m hoping they save me some 🎂)
We had probably the world‘s easiest delivery, I guess to make up for the fact that Tony couldn‘t be there...
36 weeks! Baby girl is still breech, unfortunately, so we‘re seeing a doctor tomorrow about doing an external cephalic version procedure. Hopefully I‘m a good candidate and we can get her turned around early next week!
#nonbookishpost I think most of you know this already, but outside of reading, my other hobby is cookie decorating. Although I already announced here, we announced to the world at large today that we‘re having another baby, and this is how we did it. And surprise, it‘s another boy! 🎉💙👶🏻🎉💙👶🏻
Is there anything as sweet as baby clothes?! Enjoying some time with an audiobook while I sort baby Nina‘s clothes and figure out what we still need to buy
Our pouty faced little Nina - who apparently has tons of hair! She‘s breech at the moment, so hopefully she flips around before my next appointment. Otherwise they‘ll have to do a procedure to turn her...
Well, this is why I‘ve been so quiet lately...because I am DAMN EXHAUSTED from growing a human! Surprise! 👶🏻🤰🏼
It‘s a little early to share but I am Advanced Maternal Age (aka geriatric 😂) and find I am a lot more relaxed about it this time around. If you know me on other social media channels, please DO NOT mention it on FB or IG. I have a larger presence on both and am not quite ready to share there yet, but I wanted to tell my Littens! ❤️
31 weeks and getting very impatient to meet my little girl! 💕🤱🏼💕
Also, hoping to start that book in the background this week sometime, but I have a few I want to finish first...
Anybody else struggle with insomnia during pregnancy? And if so, was there anything you found helpful? I don‘t know if it‘s hormones, discomfort or just holiday stress but I haven‘t been sleeping all week and it‘s getting old...
Check out that bump! I‘ve really popped out the last couple weeks. The constant back ache isn‘t fun, but I like showing off the belly 😉
3 months to go!
We got another look at baby girl today and she‘s literally the most adorable thing I‘ve ever seen! Healthy and growing right on schedule. Hopefully she grows into that nose as she gets a little more body fat... but Tony‘s family tends to have really large noses!
The USO partnered with Heidi Murkoff and the What to Expect Foundation hosted their annual Special Delivery baby shower this weekend in Okinawa. It was an amazing event to be a part of, and Heidi is hands down one of the sweetest most caring people I've ever met.
To all of you who are wanting an update on baby Charlie! We have had so many people offer donations from Litsy and not. If you'd still like to send some baby clothes, toys, receiving blankets they would be much appreciated.
However, we did have a very generous few people who donated many HUGE items like a crib. We need to ship this however (~$200)
If you'd like to help us offset the cost: http://PayPal.me/RachelKulik
Thanks again Littens ❤️
We got to meet our little bean today! Nice strong heartbeat and a busy, wiggly little baby 😍😍😍
Morning sickness is kicking my butt today, and of course my husband is working a 16 hour shift... fortunately Lane rolls with things like a champ and is enjoying a movie day. He dragged the pillow where he wanted it and settled right in!
If you're wondering where I've been the past few months, I'm still alive! I've just been a bit preoccupied...growing a tiny human! Thought it was high time I shared with my Litsy fam. 💗👶🏻😊
Sooo, I've been wanting this for awhile and thought it would never happen. It's a little early but I am in that mode of wanting to tell everyone I know. Super excited, I can't wipe the grin off my face. #blessed 🤗💞💙💞👶🏻🤗
This was the best of 5 or 6 tries for the family selfie...
But we just found out our family of three is growing to four! 🍼🎉😁❤️ My doctor had warned us that we might have trouble getting pregnant after my cancer this winter, but we just proved her wrong 😉 We're so excited!
