This poor book! I don't think any of the posts about it are actually about it. 😂
Nothing wrong with this, it just wasn't holding my interest. I probably would've finished the audiobook except one of the narrators put way too much emphasis on everything and it irritated me.

Good morning, friends! Can you believe that it's already almost MAY?! Here in Ohio we had almost 2“ of snow on Wednesday & this coming Tuesday it is supposed to be 84* so that's how my spring is going! 😂 As I've mentioned, this is my busiest time of year because I work at a greenhouse, but I have been trying to keep up on all my notifications. so-soTennille and I had high hopes for this book, but overall it fell a little short of its potential. I loved Joan‘s quirkiness. Her voice and some of her insight really grabbed me, whether it was because it was a rare truth, laugh out loud funny, or both. I also enjoyed the unlikely friendship that formed between her and Gavin. But more often than not, I felt the story dragged where it shouldn‘t have given what the author had to set up at the start.
I enjoyed Val Emmich‘s take on Dear Evan Hansen so much that I‘m excited to give this one a try next! I mean it‘s described as The Rosie Project meets Tell the Wolves I‘m Home...how can it not be a winner?
I spent the last few days going through my books. I found 167 books that I own and haven‘t read. I put together this TBR shelf although this isn‘t all of them. I‘ve also put myself on a book buying ban until this gets more reasonable. (I will still accept books as presents though 😄)
pickI loved this. It‘s such a unique look at memories and why they are necessary to us in life even when they hurt sometimes. The author shows us to very different main characters who learn from each other and grow through this book. It was hard to put this one down and hard to stop thinking about it after it was done.

so-soThis books was simple and sweet to read. What a fabulous book to read as an open-minded family. Love all of the Beatles references throughout the novel. Would recommend to one of my students anytime.

It was so wonderful to host Val Emmich at my house this summer for a book reading and acoustic show. It was such a unique experience! Everyone had so much fun. And I truly love this book!
pickA sweet, simple story is SO difficult to pull off. This one reminded me how refreshing and utterly enjoyable it is to spend time with great characters, with no gimmicks or twists. It also speaks to the author, to make something so sweet and impactful and make it all feel so effortless. I was surprised to see it was his first novel, and I'm excited to see what he does next.
